I actually wanted to open most of the MOCs, but I don't find a collection complete without SOME MOCs. I'd probably just want 2/3 rows then I'm done. That's just in my opinion though.

I just like posing them too much to keep em MOC... I love the wall mountable bases, eventhough they will probably fall eventually and piss me off, for the meantime they are saving me shelf space, and most of them look pretty cool mounted. |

I don't use bases as you can see, takes up too much space, like the Sentinel parts base. Just too big. Used to use them, but maybe when I star dioramas, then I'd use them.

If I was shelving them, I probably wouldn't use them either, but since I have so much empty space on my upper walls it was a no brainer for me. |

I've never been a MOC collector, but I find that I especially dislike the ML line MOC. They just don't look that great. The only figures I keep MOC are variants, and only when I have the regular figure loose.

If you notice, below the Nick Fury and Weapon X figure, there are two "nails", I actually wanted to hang my bases there, but 1)Don't think those nails work 2)Didn't fit well. So yeah, if I had totally no more room, I'd hang my X-Men figures on walls.

Yeah, but, to be honest, I'm not keeping them MOC for any monetary value, if that's the case, I'd have kept my ML1 Hulk MOC, Mr Fantastic, Human Torch, Sabretooth, Colossus, Deadpool, Elektra etc MOC, but nope. Its just personal preference that some are MOC, while others are not.
Also, I'd prefer to keep "short-packed" figures MOC, you might call it waiting for it to gain value, but I just want to keep it, well, MOC. Like I said, I'd like to have a separate set of MOCs and Loose figures.

But what people don't realize, is that anything that is bought after the collector boom started in the 90's, will NOT retain it's value. So if you want money for it, then you better sell it while you can. Look at Star Wars for an example. The early POTF figures were worth 30-40 bucks a piece for years. But, over time, as newer figures have been released, they have plummeted in value, often to less than what their original retail value was. The same with Starting Lineups, and other lines. The same thing will happen with Marvel Legends, Sportspicks, and everything else people are currently "investing" in. |

Well, maybe its just me, but over all the lines I collect, some are loose, while others remain MOC.

This is a good point. I learned this with comic books in the early-mid 90's. I still have my copy of Spawn #1 stashed away in a box somewhere, "gaining value." It's still worth $12. The thing that I really took from all that was to NEVER let money ruin the fun of collecting. If I want to keep a figure MOC because I like it like that, fine. But when I find myself saying "I could sell this on ebay and make a few bucks" I usually remind myself that all I would do with the money is buy another one. That being said, some figures just look nice on the cards. I find myself wanted to keep my CS figs on the card because (1) they look nice and (2) the articulation sucks, so all they do is just stand there anyway. Yep. Exactly. I don't find it as an investment in anyway. Like you, I collect WWE figures, well used too. And all my CS are MOC. Even those who don't sell. Why? Because I like the packaging. Simple. Even for RA's, I keep some in the box, and some out. Its not all about investments that I keep them MOC. Its just the way they look that satisfies me. Granted, ML clamshells aren't exactly the "best" carding to many, but I for one, likes a collection of both MOC and loose.

MOC requires more space than I have. Besides, when you get into the splinter lines like SMC, HC, XMC, FFC, most of the cards are dinged up anyway.

I likr my stuff MOC myself, not because i plan on ever selling them but I just think that 20 years from now they will look cooler MOC. I just think they have an extra novelty about them when they are MOC. It is a nice collection though. I am working on getting shelves for all my stuff. My sister moves out in Feb. and all of my brothers and me are switchign rooms, and when i get my new room I am redocracting. Until then my stuff remains in boxes over flowing out of my closet.
what's up with the wrestling cards up with no figures inside?

Nice collection you have there. I like the ML 5 Apocolypse you have MOC. My collection is 98% loose with a few various MOCs.. mostly the variants.

very nice collection i just wish i didn't mine up soo much the only good ones i have left are the x-men figs iam thinking of doing a spidey collection i have sandman, mysterio, i could get beetle aswell of course i have some spideys too i wish all the fearsome foe sets weren't gone man i cant wait for that sweet venom |
