I picked up a couple of these figures today.  I got Batman, and Batgirl. I passed on the Superman, because I didn't really care for it. I like the Martian Manhunter, but it's just a repaint of a figure I already have, with an extra head. |

do you have pics of their packaging? i wouldn't mind picking up Batman, Batgirl, and JOker. The superman looks too thin and i have never really been a fan of martian manhunter. They all come with reversable heads right?

Upon closer inspection, the Batman is a repaint of the Hush Batman, which was a most excellent figure.
The Martian Manhunter is a repaint of the original DC Direct figure. It's a nicer repaint though. It's a great figure, if you need Manhunter.
I am not sure if Batgirl is a repaint or not, same with Red Hood/Joker.
The Superman pretty much sucks.
The heads are interchangeable.
I don't have pics of the packaging, but it's nothing spectacular. It's similar to the style of packaging the Green Lantern figs came in.
I picked up Batman and Batgirl, as both are excellent figures. They were $12.99 at my comic store, which is about standard for DC Direct stuff.

I guess if you want Supes to serve as Clark Kent alone, he is fine... the "unmasked" part of him sucks... the Kent part is decent

By the way, I only like the Batman because TRW does, and Brian only likes it because TRW and I do. I actually PM'ed WOJC, and told him to leave a positive comment about the Batman figure, or risk being blacklisted.

I saw them at one of the comic shops near me today, but I wasn't that impressed with them. That and at another store I bought Psycho-Pirate and Sinestro for $4 on clearance.

I bought Batman, Superman, and Joker. They are great figures. One of my favorite lines from DCD. I can take some pics if people are intrested.

Without painted undies, that Batman just looks kinda...off. And it sucks because I missed the Hush version and was hoping this one would suffice. Oh well.
I like how Joker's giving a little wave there.
And I think Batgirl is also part of a previously released two pack with a new "unmasked" head.
I was at my comic shop today and passed on this Bat's for the Long Halloween one. I think I made a wise choice.

I disagree....I've got Hush bats, Kingdom Come Bats, Public Enemy Bats, JLA boxed set bats, silver age bats, Justice Bats, First Appearance Bats and Long Halloween Bats and I honestly think this is one of the top 3. I think it's far superior to LH. Just my opinion. ON a side note, I dont know why my pics quit working. |

For the most part, all I've been sticking too were figs from the BTAS line (original, not that new crap), but as soon as I saw these two, I really got the urge to go into another Batman direction as well. I also ended up picking up SF Freeze & Penguin, FA Riddler & HUSH Harley, Gordon, Joker & Ivy. Haven't opened any up yet, but they all look awesome. Never really followed Hush, just read a synopsis really, but at least its giving us great figs and designs of needed villains and secondary characters! Next pick up will be DC Superheroes Scarecrow and Knightfall Catwoman. She looks great, but I have to say, she's got one of the biggest "sets" I’ve ever seen on a figure! |
