Can anyone here tell me if the Angel: The Curse & Angel: Old Friends comic lines are any good?
Also are the graphic novels are any good?

The Curse wasn't too great. Old Friends is shaping up to be a lot better, since Spike, Gunn and probably Illyria all show up. But this officially means Old Friends is out of show continuity, because Joss has said on occasion that Gunn died in the final battle that started as the finale ended.
The Spike one-shot, Old Times was really great, though. There's also a Spike vs. Dracula mini coming up by the same writer which will probably be just as good.

The cover I saw for Spike Vs Dracula looked really cool with Spike & Dru in the vamp form. I've not seen Old Times so i'll look that one up. Chances are i'll wait for TPB of Old Friends. |

I will let you know about The Curse as soon as I read it.
Old Friends was more of what I wanted as the Curse (despite advertising characters like Lorne and Illyria) gave no mention of what became of everyone at the end of the show. Old Friends starts with Gunn (clearly he had more than 10 minutes left to live) tracking down Angel about murders involving someone who is apparently Spike. I haven't read it all, but it was good from what I did read.

Gunn is wearing an eyepatch, so maybe he lived but lost an eye. Maybe this is just a case of George Lucas Syndrome. Lucas swears Boba Fett died his unfortunate 3 Stooges death in ROTJ but everyone else refuses to let that be Star Wars law. |
