Telling facts and getting technical is what a play-by-play commentator is supposed to do...
Except that Tenay also reads off and looks at the production sheet consistently thus becoming the clairvoyant announcer.
Example: the week before Sting showed up, his music and video played at the end of the show. All of a sudden Tenay spouts "STING WILL BE HERE NEXT WEEK!" Really? Thanks for seeing into the future!
Sure you could figure Sting would be there next week, but based on the fact it was his entire entrance playing, he could also already be there. Tenay is too smart; he needs to be the guy feeding facts and what not to an announcer. You give him a production sheet, he talks about 5 other things during the match rather than focus on the match.
