Tentatively yours... Despite the stupid title "X-Men: The Last Stand", Fox Head Tom Rothman has confirmed that there will indeed be an X-Men 4, and probably more after that as well. Now it's all well and good for him to say that now... but if X-Men 3 is a bomb (which we all know it won't be... even if it sucks) then those words will be quickly eaten.
So why the title "The Last Stand" then? Well, according to the good folks over at Movie Hole, Rothman offers the following explanation:
Perhaps someone should tell Rothman that the end of the Lord of the Rings was indeed actually the end of the whole series. He might have missed that part.
I personally still have major reservations about the next X-Men film... but my hope has risen over the last month. Let's hope it works out. Thus far the X-Men have been my favorite comic film franchise (yes, even more than Spider-Man) and I'd hate to see it go down the toilet.
I do agree with Mr. Campea's remarks of how if this movie tanks (which I doubt) then it will subsequently lead to the ending of the film franchise. However, if there is a fourth installment, I do hope that B. Singer returns as the leader of the film, as I am still uneasy with having someone like Brett Ratner in charge.

I'm not sure what he meant by that Lord of the Rings comment. Unless he is taking into account The Hobbit as part of the series. It's not part of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy...but it does have it's place in there.

And how is that a problem? I'm no Emma fan, but dammit if Ms. Johansen wouldnt be a great one. She has the breasts for it.
Does Tom Rothman also think "The Passion of the Christ" and "Titanic" have the words movie franchise written all over them? I think what it means is that most of these actors won't come back next time, so they'll be recasting and it'll SEEM like a whole new series. Wonder what lame subtitle X4 will have. X4:Are You Still Here?

Yeah I posted about X4 & X5 the other day yet no one believed me. We didn't not believe you... just today its pretty common for actors to be signed on for sequels just incase they decide to make one. |
