Ok ive trimmed the roster down loads, to come out with this, what I feel could be a realistic fighter selection for the UFC 2009, maybe its slightly to big but ive tried to show you guys the possibilites.

I wouldnt have a problem with that roster, but I dont think it will be nearly that big. Plus with the stuff Couture is going through, I doubt he will be included

That sounds like a pretty solid roster.
Honestly, though, I'm just hoping that the game isn't garbage. It could really be amazing if they do it right.

I also hope their season mode is similar to a Ultimate Fighter concept.

yeah, it'd be good if there was like an option for story mode, and the storyline is you're a contestant on the ultimate fighter, then you have to win that then you start having a few fights on ultimate fight night then you get your first ppv ect. pretty bog-standard storyline but sounds awesome to me.
or another idea is that they bring out a spin-off game called the ultimate fighter, that'd be pretty cool.

The roster should be pretty big since they should have a couple of guys from each weight class. A tie in with the ulitimate fighter with created contestents could allow you to have early rivals and have people to beat to improve skills and ranking to get in line for future title contention and fighting actual fighters.

Shamrock will not be in, he is going through a legal battle with the UFC.
Tito definitely won't be in, as he is approaching his last UFC fight and UFC 84 in May and cannot wait to finish up with the company.
Randy won't be in, he said that months ago. At a press conference, he said he was not willing to sign his name over to be in the video game or anything else.
I also doubt Arlovski, rumor is he may be fighting Ben Rothwell for HDNet Fights coming up rather soon.

Everything can happen in MMA, by the time this game comes out in early-mid 2009, all of these guys could be officially back with the UFC. |

Half of your roster and 5/6 of your roster will be gone by then. The only legends you have a chance of getting are Tanner, Liddell, Nog.
