Invisible Pink Unicorn is just as, if not more, plausible.

The concept of God is great and would love to believe in it as a whole, but I'm a man of science and 9 times out of 10, the two have to conflict, and science wins.

Yeah the thing I find is that there are so many inaccuracies in religion.
For example, if I asked a Christian why is there suffering in the world, the answer would probably be because god gave us free will. Isn't that just a bit cheesy? No offense intended, I just feel it seems like a bit of an excuse personally..

This has been done many times before. Every survey I've seen in the US has belief in God upwards of 95-99% depending on how you define "God". It's pretty much a given here in the States.

I believe each person as an individual has a personal god, a person whom they respect and look up to, whos opinion they value and who has connected with them. Mine would be this man: I dont, however, believe in a God in the religious sense of the word.

The concept of God is great and would love to believe in it as a whole, but I'm a man of science and 9 times out of 10, the two have to conflict, and science wins. It really depends on how you think about it, the main theory of science is that two balls of enery came together to create everything now you could look at this many ways, such as where did these balls of energy come from, someone must have put them there and if they've always been there doesnt that make these balls of energy God in some respects as God can be defined as something that has always been. You could also argue with the concept of heaven and hell and say that one ball was nothing but evil(hell) and the other completely pure(heaven) so thus creating balance. There's also the domino theory where everything is here because of a chain reaction like a load of dominos falling over but then the question could be asked who pushed the first domino. However you put it there can be a possibility of God just not in the conventional white bearded all powerful immortal human being form sort of sense.

No offense intended, I just feel it seems like a bit of an excuse personally..I dont see how that is "cheesy, but to each his own beliefs. I mean honestly if your parents say, "go and do as you please." and you go out and get addicted to crack, who is to blame for your addiction? especially when your given all the knowledge of right and wrong and what you should be doing? I guess it would have to be your parents because we have to have someone to blame other then us... Regardless people believe if they wish and do not if they do not wish to, in the end it really doesnt matter what I say or anyone says...I'm either right and I will live in heaven or I am wrong and there is nothingness or something else to look forward to...and I can be at peace with that. And as long as your at peace with what you believe then far be it from me to impose.
