Religion in many ways has done more harm than good through the ages, and should be abolished. Heck, the only reason we believe so hard in the US is because the communists in the 50s where atheists. That's why our money says in god we trust, and why our pledge says Under God. And now idiotic people won't let those things be removed, like it will make us less of america. I would argue (and I have in this thread already) that religion has done far more good than harm through out history (though it certainly has done it's harm).

The Crusades.
Just pointing out one part of harm. Even now, there are religious groups fighting over religion.

And you know what really PO's me? When people say they dont believe in God or Jesus and then they celebrate Christmas or accept gifts. COME ON YOU IDIOTS. WEll, Christmas has become more a secular holiday in recent times. I still celebrate it, but it's for sentimental reasons. I had a rouhg childhood. But no matter how bad things were, christmas was always fun, and something to look forward to. It still makes me feel good when it comes around. Though I also celebrate Snowflake day Religion in many ways has done more harm than good through the ages, and should be abolished. You don't even have to look at extreme examples (crusades, 9/11, Westboro Baptist Church) to see the problems with religion. Religion has led to hatred, close mindedness, intolerance, and bigotry. People hate, or at least distrust people of other races, religions, and sexual orientations. All bases on what their "god" tells them. Not to mention the fact that relgion breeds ignorance. Religious people have rejected solidly proven facts because it goes against a text that was written centuries ago, before any of these things were discovered. They think things such as (but not limited to): the earth is 6,000 years old, dinosaurs are a myth, genetic engineering is a slight on god, and gay people are evil. They are thrying to have creationism taught as a science. And some states are trying to make it law that you can answer according to religious beliefs on science tests and not fail. This is ludicrous, and to support such out right stupidity is sad to me. We have enough problems with children wanting to learn without essentially making it law that they don't have to.

You are messing with the one of strongest Christian you every meet. I'd mite not look strong outside but my spirit is big as Roman Empire. but in this case noone will never knock the walls down of my faith. You better get ready cause the Revival is coming soon to Earth before the Rapture. How does he know what you look like, it's a forum! And your saying Jesus is coming back to earth? How? Is he gonna be reborn? In todays world do you really think that people are gonna flow him about? No, because peole are more open minded now. It's not 2000 years ago when people farmed all their lifes and died. Sorry, I cant take you serious when you talk like a preacher on crack. I'm not on crack. To me Opened mind is to see the spirtual world. Closed mind is that we came from monkies or big bang made us.

The Crusades. Just pointing out one part of harm. Even now, there are religious groups fighting over religion. I don't disagree that bad things have been done in the name of religion. I just contend that more good has been done than bad.

So, is semi-devout going all the way without being a priest? And you know what really PO's me? When people say they dont believe in God or Jesus and then they celebrate Christmas or accept gifts. COME ON YOU IDIOTS. It was a Pagan festival that Christianity stole. How does he know what you look like, it's a forum! And your saying Jesus is coming back to earth? How? Is he gonna be reborn? In todays world do you really think that people are gonna flow him about? No, because peole are more open minded now. It's not 2000 years ago when people farmed all their lifes and died. LMFAO! Watch Pat Condell, and keep an open mind....

When god comes and meets me, he'll have my full attention. But until then, I'm gonna be a little bit skeptical. Pat will know what that is off.
