Now that MOST of the DC: OYL books have come out, what have you read/liked/hated so far?
Personally, since I've redone my list lately and havent bought much else, I've been able to check out most of the books and here's what I liked:
New Batman and Robin dynamic. How much cooler is Batman now? Ditto for Robin? I added Robin right after I read the first new issue for him and I'm back to both Batman books again (it helps that Paul Dini is writing Detective after this arc). I dunno what they'll do to explain this new understanding between the Batclan in "52" but I dont care. Batman's been a bitch for the last few years-good to see him back to form.
On the other hand, Nightwing was AWFUL. Grayson was way out of character and the scripting was poor. I kinda like Jason taking over the Nightwing name and seeing these two face off, but it needs some better writing.
Here's a fwe other ones from me:
>Hawkgirl-good art, not enough story yet. Hope they give us something beyond Hawkgirl's nipples.
>Superman-Not a bad idea to depower Superman (al la "Superman 2") and the second issue of the arc gave a good clue as to what might have occurred. I'm only lost as to WHEN this happened. Supes new timeline needs a quick cliff-notes fix.
>Teen Titans-The Robin Effect continues here, as well as mixing in some of the TT cartoon. And Marvin/Wendy from the "Superfriends"? Its cool as an old school fanboy, but I hope it doesnt make the book too silly.
>Blue Beetle-um....no. It's written well, but I just didnt care after issue one where the story goes.
>Aquaman-a lot of the comic message boards hate this, but I dont. I like the mystery of it, and the art is great.
I'm looking forward to the new Wonder Woman and Checkmate books, as well.
