Bendis writes some AWESOME dialogue. The problem is that's ALL he writes. Still, Ultimate Spidey is a good book. And I'd like to add some girls even found my toy collection kinda hot. On another message board long ago, when I took a picture of my desktop laden with toys, I got a lot of "Your desk is awesome! I would SO love to play with your toys"

I know tons of girls who find Spiderman sexy. It's kind of odd. They only think he is sexy with his mask on.
Some kind of mystery thing I guess?

Well, I dunno about comics as I rarely read them these days, but fig wise, everyone I know thinks cool and are fine with it, many actually think its awesome and they love looking through it all. My mom even picks me up stuff sometimes. Great to collect! It is great that your Mom helps you out. . . . mine gave me crap about it. . . ."you need to grow up", etc, etc. Like I said though, my Wife is supportive, so all is well.

On another message board long ago, when I took a picture of my desktop laden with toys, I got a lot of "Your desk is awesome! I would SO love to play with your toys" I don't even like Bendis' dialogue anymore once I realized just HOW repetitive it is (and I've never met anyone that talks like the way people in his books do ALL the time) Guide to Writing a Bendis book: Milla: Daredevil pooped on Kingpin! Ben Urich: Daredevil did WHAT? Milla: Pooped on Kingpin. Ben: He pooped on him? Milla: He pooped on him. Ben: He...wow. Wow, I can't believe he'd do that I mean...he's Daredevil.. Milla: I know. Ben: ...Wow... Milla: Yeah... Spider-Man: Wow...that was wow... Kitty: That was great...wow. Spidey: I know...did you...y'know...? Kitty: Yeah. Spidey: *BIG GRIN* Kitty: 3 times. Spidey: Score. And an example of his New Avengers; 2 page panel of town. 2 page panel of trail of meteor. Half a page of Alpha Flight Dead. Approximately 18 pages of filler. Bolds and italics can be swapped at any point in the process as you see fit. *NOTE: I liked his Daredevil a lot, it was a good run, and he actually managed to continue a plot and despite the aforementioned unrealistic dialogue it worked SOMEWHAT in a book such as Daredevil given the characters and their jobs, but NO teenage would talk like Spidey does...none. None? None. Wow..

A agree wholeheartedly about Bendis' New Avengers. . . . nice strong start, but it's tended to be a bit of a fizzle lately. I've pretty much dropped the book.

My dad collects Star Wars figures, and my mom sells action figures on eBay, so they have no right to criticize any of the nerd things I do. They don't anyway, but if they tried, I got a few tricks up my sleeve.
I don't ever really bring up comics with my friends. I have a few that read, so I generally talk it with them. My other friends don't really care, its the wrestling thing they rag on more.

My afmily is fine with it, and most of my friends are comic nerds too.
Even my girlfriend is a comic nerd... Thoguh she's more Marvel, and I'm more DC... but it's still cool. She likes DC some too, and vie versa.
I'm going to the store tomorrow to pick up 52, and maybe some other stuff if I see anything good.

Well I went to a place called Legendary Comics today. It's a cool place. The owner is a REALLY nice guy. I picked up my mom from school (I know weird heh) and she actually tagged along. She never complained once, or said anything. It was cool and weird at the same time.
