Seems like the previous rumours of Silver Surfer appearing in the next Fantastic Four film are getting more and more solid. This is good news since the Silver Surfer is not only cool as hell... but also one of the more complex characters in the Marvel Universe with a lot of personal struggle and inner conflict.
The good folks over at Cinescape give us the following:
Ummm... let me get this straight. Filming for Fantastic Four 2 is set to begin in less than 3 months... and they haven't finalized the script yet? Oh man... this does not bode well at all. Prepare for another disaster.
I have low expectations for the Fantastic Four sequel, as established from the first movie. I do believe that Radd's story should be told in an individual movie where he would not share character development time with, at least, four other characters. More so, with Surfer most certainly comes Galactus, and if Victor von Doom is any indication of villian potential, we'll hunger for a better Galactus post-viewing.

I still stick by my opinion... I liked Fantastic Four. It was good fun and my nephew loved it. It was a perfect family movie in the superhero genre which we've been missing for a while (I don't count The Incredibles and that High School one).

Once again, for I, the only saving grace was Chris Evans (primarily), Michael Chiklis, and their interaction. The rest of the cast was worthless, and McMahon did not do justice to the "Dr. Doom" persona. I do agree that the movie appealed to a much younger audience than I desired. And Alba wasn't sufficient eye candy.

Yeah, I agree some of the actors didn't fit the characters but then again, I think they purposely were changing Sue and Reed to make them more appealing to the younger audience. I loved the Thing and Torch interaction. I think those two were done perfectly.

I liked the Fantastic Four movie for the same reason that Crimson did it was just a fun superhero movie that didn't take itself so seriously. Sure it was flawed and there were some bad casting choices, but it features two of my favorite actors in Michael Chiklis and Julian McMahon.
