I was browsing the official Spider-Man 3 board, and there was a thread that basically came to the conclusion that Carnage was way too violent for a Spider-Man sequel. They said that the cartoon version was completely watered down, and that is the only Spider-Man media I know of, so I never knew Carnage was that bad.
Can some Spidey fans please elaborate on how violent and macabre Carnage actually was in the comics? Any specific stories? I was really interested in this as he was my favorite villain but I never really read the comics.

I know. I know all about Kleatus Cassidy and how he supposedly killed both his parents, but I'm asking what was so gruesome about him that they can't make him to his full affect in a PG-13 movie.

I read all of that already. But I still don't understand why a good amount of people are saying he is too violent for a PG-13 movie. We've seen serial killers in PG-13 movies many, many times before and I just don't seem to get what makes Carnage so much more violent than a PG-13 movie.

Maybe it would be too reminicent of Venom and the viewers wouldn't be to interested.

Well, I dont know why he'd be too gruesome.
Maybe in the Spiderman movie world, because nothing too violent goes in the movies.
I think they could get away with showing him.

Carnage isn't that bad but he did kill his own parents
But Venom is better than Carnage anyday.
