Besides the majors, who do you think should be in the JLA?

Hawkgirl and Red Tornado are all but confirmed. I could see Power Girl being included for sure.

Green Arrow is as well. I'd imagine Green Lantern and The Flash. I think 8 for now is good.

John Stewart and probably Mr. Terrific. I dont see them using Hal with his solo stuff being much better, but I feel they need a GL.

But with Mr. Terrific in Checkmate, will be be involved with the JLA too? I doubt it.
Honestly, I think they could do without a GL. As much as I have always loved the JLA, they have always been too powerful. With Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Green Lantern involved, they have to come up with some ridiculous villains and storylines to make things challenging for them. I think they should leave the heavy hitters to just Superman and Wonderwoman, and add more fringe people like Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Hawkgirl, Black Canary, etc. That keeps things much more interesting to me.
I'm not sure what they are doing with the JSA, but I think Power Girl belongs there, rather than JLA. Having another version of Superman in the JLA is just too much, IMO.

Bats, Supes, Wonder Woman, Stewart (GL), Power Girl, Black Canary, Red Tornado, and Green Arrow for sure.

Having just read the #1 issue, I like who they picked....except for Black Lightening. Out of all the black characters that are actually called "Black X" he's never appealed to me. His daughter in "The Outsiders" is more appealing.
The rest of the picks seem to make sense.

It took me a while to realize that Roy Harper (arsenal) is in his Kingdom Come Red Arrow costume. Sweet!
Black Lightning seems like an odd choice, as does Vixen. I don't remember either of them ever doing anything remarkable.
I also think it's weird that Black Canary would join, what with her Birds of Prey responsibilities.

The first two issues of JLA have been great, at least to me. But since 1980, JLA has always been my favorite comic. Some of the dialogue was great.

I felt bad for Green Arrow, but Arsenal is an interesting pick. It was cool to see Batman accept Hal as a choice, though, because it shows Batman has changed a bit.
I wasnt too happy that we're almost jumping into the story without a clear roster. We know a few, but they didnt confirm most of the former JSAers.

I was so thrown for a loop when i went to pick up both covers, and noticed Roy harper on the cover in GA's place. I love it.

i have never really liked reading JLA because I am a huge Batman fan and seeing him in outer space is always just awkward for me. I don't really like "super-powers" either and the JLA and thier villians are usually full of them. This is a big reason I can't really get into Marvel. I think Superheroes in DC have more believable powers than those of radioactive spider/gamma rays of Marvel. Anyways, back to the topic, I will continue to read the Batman titles and the spinoff ones but JLA doesn't really intrest me. However, I have been reading Batman comics for about 3 years now and have read a lot of graphic novels from earlier, but I am still a little confused as to why Batman does not like Hal. Thanks for any clarification.

I'm guessing it may stem from Identity Crisis. Or not.

Thanks for any clarification. Wait...DC, with it's dozens of nigh-invulnerable Superman clones, has superheroes with more believable powers than Marvel? I don't think I've ever heard that argument made before just now.

I think he meant the way they got the powers.

I believe Batman not liking Hal stems from when Hal became Parallax and almost destroyed the world.
