I've an interesting lot on eBay, which includes all New Avengers (#1 - #23), Civil War #1 - #3 and a few others. It also includes House of M #1 - #8, my question is: Is this story any good? Could someone give me a synopsis of the storyline, and some of the characters involved? Thanks And, are the New Avengers comics any good? I plan on buying them, but I have no idea.

I heard it changed the marvel universe completely.

I really like the New Avengers, some people don't.
House of M rocked the foundation of the Marvel Universe, but at the same time, it was like an alternate universe.
Civil War.. well it's just awesome.

The HoM universe is essentially the same universe as mainstream Marvel, but Wanda Maximoff's powers were used to temporarily turn it into a worldwide mutant utopia, where mutants were the predominant species and humans were the minority, and deals with the struggle of the X-Men and The Avengers (primarily, through the eyes of Logan) to set things right...the story itself is primarily centered around Magneto, Wolverine, assorted X-Men and Avengers, and is considered by some to be the second part in a trilogy of major events in the Marvel universe, the first being "Disassembled" and the third being "Civil War"...

New Avengers is awesome.
House of M started off great, but the ending was terrible.
Civil War is amazing so far.

New Avengers and Civil War are great.
House of M was good but not amazing, if you don't follow X-Men than none of the changes really affect you.
Depending on the price its a fun story, I still re-read mine its just I wouldn't pay a small fortune for it.

Cheers guys. The lot itself was $100, which is about £55, so it was rather pricey. I think I might just stick to getting New Avangers and Civil War.

Human Torch looks awesome in House of M In the Iron Man mini where he was part of the Robot Fighter Arena thing? Or do you mean the Inhuman Torch, Doom's son?
