I know I'm not. But it seems like this board gets dominated by Marvel. I just don't like Marvel as much as DC.

I love DC now, which is weird as I've always been a Marvel kid. But seriously both have great stuff going on.

No. I have been a big DC fan for over 25 years. I read pretty much any Batman title. I also pick up the various incarnations of JLA, and JSA. Plus, Checkmate, 52, Martian Manhunter, and some other titles have been pretty good lately too.

Simple done in one stories (But I think the Riddler is going to be an ongoing plot for the whole book), its very easy to get into the character with this book which is exactly what I want. Gotta love him actually doing detective work too. Wonder Woman I'll most likely drop after Heinberg is gone. The character didn't grab me and I only bought because I loved his Young Avengers over at Marvel.

Wonder Woman hasn't impressed me much so far, but it seems like the releases for it have been very sporatic too. I can't say how long I will be sticking with it. Same with Flash. I already got bored with Firestorm, Blue Beetle, and a few others. But, being a partner in my own comic store now, I will have more ability to read these stories. One thing I really need to work on though, is remembering writers and artists. I have always been horrible about that.

Same here. I remember the story but not the writer or artist of it. Eh...
I've been reading back issues of Green Arrow and Nightwing, and I like Nightwing a lot. But reading stuff over at the DC forum, they act like he's been crapfor 10 years. But diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks.

Nightwing really came into his own during the Hush series for me. When I was a kid, his costume with the Titans was sooooo gay.
One thing I have noticed about most comic fans, is that they bitch about pretty much everything, no matter how good/bad. Kind of like wrestling fans really.

One thing I have noticed about most comic fans, is that they bitch about pretty much everything, no matter how good/bad. Kind of like wrestling fans really. It boggles the mind why people would continue to buy a series (or keep watch wrestling, watch shows they know they'll hate) just to bash them... it costs time and money. I've bitched online about a book well after I've bought when someone asks everyone if they should pick up a book it but that was because the writer called implied I was racist and I was outraged by that. They are probably the worst comic fans of all, the ones who love to rip apart stuff others enjoy and at the same time giving the book sales. If you don't like it, drop it and move on to the next book. I will say, I think its the minority who do that but people who hate something are more vocal then people who just "like" the book. On most comic forums online, you can pick out about 10 guys who love to crap over a particular writer, character or comic company and they will post in almost every topic related to that thing.

I agree with you guys. It makes no sense but you always get that with every forum go to. Doesn't matter for what.
Glad to see more DC fans here. I knew there were a few like TRW. Just Marvel topics seem to dominate.

I hate marvel. With that being said, I am a big DC fan. I read all the Batman titles, Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman, 52, etc. The Batman titles have been pretty good recently. "Batman" is going really good right now, with his son running around. Detective comics is is getting better, the stories are getting better with each issue. Batman LODK is ok, i hate the art in that one currently. The series I really liked was Batman: Secrets. The art was amazing and I thought the characters were protrayed well.
Also, I have really liked the direction of Batman and the MOnster Men, and Batman and the mad Monk. I had a post awhile ago about how much i hated wagner's art on the covers of batman (war games). I think it was just the style it was done in, because it is much better looking in his latest comics. He has a very unique look that takes some getting used to.
Marvel is just too crazy for me to understand because there are like a million characters flying around.
I am really looking forward to Superman: Confidential because Tim Sale is the greatest penciller out there.

I like marvel a lot too though.
I like pretty much all of he Batman series right now. But it's weird how one person can like some art, and hate others. For example, I like the art in the LODK series, but I couldn't stand the art in Secrets. To the point where it almost made it unreadable for me, despite the excellent story.

DC was my favorite publisher for about a year when they were doing Infinite Crisis, but now I think Marvel's back on top for me. I still read a crapload of DC stuff, though: Detective Comics, Nightwing, Robin, Birds of Prey, Superman, Action Comics, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, 52, Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes, Aquaman, Teen Titans, Outsiders, Blue Beetle, Justice League of America, Ex Machina, Planetary...probably some more I'm forgetting. As long as DC has Kurt Busiek, Mark Waid and Geoff Johns I'll be a fan.

I like the more stylized art like Tim Sale, Damion Scott, etc. The art in LODK, currently (ended this week), had cheezy pics from real life in the background rather than being totally drawn. It just looked bad when combined.
