The presidential candidates to actually appear? Posted by Bobby Spade on 04/21/2008 at 11:03 AM
According to an article in today's Broadcasting & Cable, Presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John McCain WILL be appearing tonight on the three-hour Monday Night Raw as they have taped messages to the viewers. WWE initially advertised a parody match between Clinton and Obama, similar to their Rosie O'Donnell-Donald Trump "match" last year.
The candidates were not interested, the article notes: "While they did not take WWE up on the tongue-in-cheek offer, they did agree to tape a message for the audience, as did McCain, whom the network also reached out to as part of its effort to get viewers to the polls."

I'd rather see the spoof than this, to be honest. Keep politics away from wrestling.

I think it sgood. Getting younger people to vote, or get interested... It does change things alot, just by that one person getting into the office....

so glad its not a parody match, gives more time for the king of the ring instead of 15 min. of that.

Couldnt this time have been spent giving the viewers some longer King of the ring matches?

When he said "Do You Smell What Barack Is Cookin" I marked inside because he sounded like the rock.
If he made that his campaign slogan, I might just vote for him.

WWE actually has the 'Smack down your vote' program so i's for a real cause and not just their humiliation.

The sound so fake, lol. And that says something since they're all politicians. You can tell they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about and are just reading from a script.

I can't believe Obama actually said that. That was awesome.
I'm so glad that they're not doing another thing like they did with Rosie and Trump, though. I'd seriously change the channel, because that was just so embarassing to watch last time.
