Sorry if it has already been posted, but when I was at wrestling training yesterday on of the guys brought up the big bossman hanging. And we were talking about how they did it without killing bossman. He wasn't pulling the nuse away from his neck so he could breathe. Even if the nuse was loose, it would still choke him. So how do you guys think it happened? I was thinking that maybe the nuse was on his chin instead of his neck. Here is the link to the vid if you haven't seen it yet:

Bossman probably had a harness on which would take his weight away from the noose so it didn't choke him, but allowed him to give the illusion.

Ive got a feeling that another piece of wire, ran down the back (inside) of the bossmans shirt and attached to his belt or something, and the rope around the neck was just for show with barley any pressure.
otherwise, i cant see how he could have survived really

It had nothing to do with his neck or holding it or anything of that sort, that's far too risky and to be honest even if it was under his chin he would be in imense pain. It's likely Bossman had a harness on in some form or fashion, its also way to dangerous to allow him to just hang there as he rises without any harness. So without a doubt he had some safety apparatus on.

Yeah, the wire probably held him around the shoulders, look how he hunches his shoulders over when he is hanging

It's easy to see why this is Undertakers least favorite time in his career, all of this ministry stuff was just too heavy. Crucifications, sacrifices, hangings, etc.

I don't question how they did it as much as WHY they did it. I thought it was so stupid.

Was it in like those shoot interviews or just an interview? I always heard he wasn't a fan of the whole Undertaker character and he liked the ABA gimmick alot more.

I always heard he wasn't a fan of the whole Undertaker character and he liked the ABA gimmick alot more. I'm not sure where I heard it but I just remember him saying that the whole ministry part of his career was not something he really enjoyed, he didn't like the things they did and how his character was. I do know though that he very much so enjoyed the ABA period because it allowed him to just be himself.

Yeah he called The Ministry a dark time in his career. He loved the Undertaker character, hell he lived it until Sara saved him, but when he hit Ministry he just hated it. The stable, the storylines, everything. He mentions this in his DVD
