Who is the greatest wrestler of all time, almost everyone says Flair. What? Based on what? His love for the business? His wrestling abilty? Don't get me wrong, he is one of the top 5 but so is Hogan.
Flair is not a pure wrestler, he was never a great baby face. He is mostly known as a heel with charisma. Flair sold great but not even close to Hogan.
Fact: Hogan brought WCW out of debt. As a heel he sold more merchindise and sold out more areanas than Flair ever could dream about.
Fact as a Baby Face Hogan is the most popular wrestler hands down.
And lets face it how many of you have watched Flair's hour long matches that are supposidly soooo awesome. Be honest.
Hogan should be in everyones list of the greatest at least the top 5

HOGAN. Don't get me wrong I love Flair but most of you just buy into Flair cause he's been around so long and it's cool to say Flair is the greatest. And as far as Hogan being an ass trust me just as many former wrestlers hate Flair. Its becuse WWE controls what you hear and see. Just like all of you who say Moolah is the greatest woman's champion because she held the title so long. She is trumped up by the wwe. Wendy Richtor was much better. Watch the Wendy Rictor shoot on wwe, Moolah was an bitch

Yeah, I'll lose sleep wondering if you're right about that.
Hogan is a great entertainer and a bad wrestler, Flair is a great wrestler and a great entertainer. Hogan can't even lace Flair's boots as far as wrestling goes.

In reality Hogan just got lucky, he was in the right place at the right time. Really Hogan became huge because of where he worked, he just so happened to be the top guy when Vince decided to go big time. Really almost anybody could have done what Hogan did. Flair is a much better wrestler, who put on much better matches, with much better opponents. And Hogan is nowhere near my top 5 btw.

Notice how when Flair came to WWF he was champ not Hogan? Flair had creative control in WWF before Hogan ever did anywhere. When Hogan went to WCW as a face he was booed, while Flair was cheered. Look at it this way: Flair (Heel) Vs. Hogan (face) in WCW got Flair cheered Hogan booed. Flair (Heel) Vs. Sting (Face) got Flair booed, Sting cheered. Like many had said if Flair would have been in WWF in 86 Hogan would have been stuck in the midcards. |

In total, all in all, Hogan has drawn more whether or not. Where he has gone.
But fact remains there is a definate line between entertainer and wrestler
and personally Hulk never did much for me. he was just too tan dont be surprised if he dies of skin cancer

Not Malenko or Lou Thez OK, if you want to encompass all aspects shouldn't you take Hogan's wrestling ability into consideration? Hogan can cut a good promo, so can Flair. Hogan has sold out plenty of arena's, so has Flair. Hogan has moved quite a bit of merch, but Flair has as well. Hogan has never once put on a 5 star match, his move set has probably never exceeded 10-15 moves, while Flair on the other hand could wrestle a 60 minuet match and barely repeat any moves. Hogan should go down as one of the biggest draws in wrestling history, but not the best wrestler, and in my opinion he should be near the top 20. |

The biggest arenas Flair sold out were in Texas where he was facing the real draws, The Von Erichs. And I've watched Hogan vs Flair at WCW Hogan didn't get booed as much as you say but that was cause his gimmick was getting old. And he changed and became a bigger heel than Flair as far as selling goes. |

Rock vs Hogan comes to mind. Plus as far as wrestling abilty goes watch his Japan matches. They were quite good. Flair didn't move alot of merchindise, lol. Yeah so many kids wearing 4 horsemen shirts. come on. Flair DID NOT have alot of moves stop pulling that crap! HBK has alot of moves Malenko, Benoit, Angle they have alot of moves. Not Flair. yes more than Hogan but not an arsonal |
