Mike Johnson of the Professional Wrestling Insider website is reporting that Petey Williams suffered a broken orbital bone during his match at last night's Impact taping in Orlando, Florida.
It is expected that Williams will have to undergo surgery as a result of the injury.

Damn, the one time he gets hurt, it has to be during a title run. But a little hope is that Bryan Danielson(ROH wrestler) had the same injury and he didn't have to take much time off. So get well soon, Petey.

Probably lose the belt quickly and then he recovers get it back and have an actual run. I do think that will happen.

Probably lose the belt quickly and then he recovers get it back and have an actual run. I do think that will happen. There's no way he's going to be able to wrestle at Sacrifice if he's having surgery. He injured it taping the last iMPACT before then so most likely it'll be held up.  |

My guess would be something about a quick squash or something like that. I don't know. We'll have to see for sure and my guess as far as surgery would be after Sacrifice but it depends on how severe and how soon it needs to be done.
