Do you have Windows XP? If you do, count how many icons are next to the clock. Press the < arrow next to the clock so that you can see all of the icons. Also, to get the general specs of your computer, right click on the My Computer icon and click Properties. The stuff under Computer: near the bottom of the window is what you'll want.

What's slow, the internet, or everything? Because if it's just/mainly the internet, then Limewire is your perpetrator.

Reasons computers run slow - spyware, viruses and tons of programs running in the background. There are other reasons, but those are the top ones and the first one's I'd check. I'm betting you installed a bunch of crap since you added more memory and bogged the computer down. Depending on the specs of the computer it doesn't take much.

^ if i delte it will my internet work fast again? You don't need to delete it, just exit the program by clicking on the icon and choosing 'exit'

ok edgeman05, screw anti virus stuff, etc. heres the sitch: download zone alarm, its an anti-hacker program thats free to download. then delete limewire.m limewire is the cause most likely. also are you on broadband? if so, it could be just a simple problem of you runningout of bandwidth. that happens to me occassionally because i download so much music and videos haha. hope this helps man.
