Anybody getting Madden for the Wii? If its any better than NCAA for the wii, then I might. That is the only version I am not getting on the 3 consoles. I could not decide which version to get 360 or PS3 so I ordered the collecters edition of both and the strategy guide and overnight shipping from EBgames website. Plus tax. It cost me $250.  |

Why would you order both collectors editions for the PS3 and 360 when they are going to be the exact same game? If it was one of them and then the Wii I mean that makes sense. But why spend all that money just because you couldn't decide?
I certainly would have made a decision but thats just me.

Isn't online for Madden (or EA games) pretty bad?
I played one game and it was absolute crap,
also i played Skate. and it was horrible, very laggy.

Madden 08 online was fine. Maybe 1 or 2 games were laggy for me.

It really depends on your connection and the connection of the person you are playing against. Some games I can get through lag free while others there might be a few minor spots. Occasionally you'll get lagged out of a game but that isn't that frequent and usually seems to happen when EA is just having Server issues as they say. Usually if thats the case they'll just shut the servers down till its fixed.
So I wouldn't say online play is horrible but it can be frustrating occasionally as far as lags and such goes. The only negative about online is what has already been said about the amazing amount of cheaters and people that will only play with either the Pats, Colts, or Chargers.

Are the Chargers actually that good as people make them out to be? I mean on 08, wasn't LT the only standout player on O, and I don't think their D ranked up to be that high correct me if im wrong. I dont know much since i traded it in a few weeks ago for 09. Speaking of 09, who said I need Favre? =D  Now I just hope the Madden curse doesn't strike on custom covers. |

The only thing that I hate about online, and this applies for all sports games, is that if your up, they will just up and quit. It botherrs me to no end when they do thta. I score 1 touchdown in the first quarter, and bam, they quit.

Yeah quitters are amazing in online games and yet it doesnt always affect them and well you just end up wasting your time. I've had close games that come down to one final drive and the guy im playing blows it and then they quit. I really hate that.
As far as the chargers go, well they do have LT and he'll just tear your d' up if you're not careful. And Rivers is a solid QB in the game.
Their D' is actually pretty decent from what I recall, I haven't played them in a little while. But I looked it up and they are ranked 95 overall while even the colts are just a 94.
I love how they are going to let you download a new cover of Brett as a Jet. Which I must ask besides maybe Jet fans...whose going to do that?

Yeah I agree with what you said about online and Chargers.
I just don't like it due to the fact that it's a gameplay picture and not a real life.

eh...online is alright if you know the person you're playing. I buy Madden for franchise though basically.
This year I'll make the Rams bounce back from 3-13 to Superbowl bound in my franchise =]
The only worse part is finding the right sliders for the Ps2 to give me realistic stats.
