Hey, I need some assistance. To set the story:
We go to copy something on our printer and nothing works. And also yesterday, when we tried to plug in our digi cam, it didn't work. And I try my flash drive, and that doesn't work.
Now, i've figured that it's a problem with the USB ports. My sister told me that yesterday when she tried plugging something in the USB port or maybe unplugged something, the computer restarted itself and went really sluggish.
So has anyone had anything like this before? Does anyone know how to help? Please, my mom is going crazy about this problem because she hates when things go wrong. I try, and i'm pretty computer literate, but when it's a problem like this....i'm lost.
So please, please try to help.

It could be that she had a flash drive with an infected file on it.
Try a virus scan, or spyware removal tool.
By the way, there is a new board, WF: Help Desk for these issues.

Is your printer a USB printer or a regular printer? It's possible it's just a simple matter of the drivers being corrupted or something like that. I'd definitely try the virus scan that blair suggested, but there's no way this is being caused by spyware (though the sluggish computer could be caused by that). Then I'd run the printer troubleshooting wizard from Windows Help and see if that helps you.
