To be honest I don't care if Mick Foley isn't in and it's due to him signing for TNA & not due to the game being early 90's that he isn't in, added to the fact that he fell out with Vince. I would like the game to be to early 90's myself & not include Austin, Rock, Foley etc. but theearly 90's cut off is only a rumour as of yet. Randy Savage was never going to be in, I always knew that!! I was posting the article for others to see that the two mentioned would not be in for definite. If there are others pulled from the game as stated in the article, I'd presume they could have been Owen Hart, Ultimate Warrior and possibly Lex Luger & Demolition Axe who are on bad terms with the WWE.

Let's wait until we get news from IGN or another reliable gaming site, which will be a while I'm assuming. Right now all we're doing is speculating.

It will be some time till we get some real information. Probably have to wait till Smackdown 09 comes through.
I would really like them to start naming names here soon though because I am very curious at the moment. Theres so many people that "should" be in the game that probably wont which is a shame.
Its called legends of wrestlemania so guys like Rock and Austin being in is fine to me. But I dont want that to be the focus. At the moment, it simply looks like they're throwing all the legends from the past few sd games into one game which would suck in my eyes. I'd prefer them to throw in a crap load of "surprises".
I honestly could care less if Austin and Rock are in it considering they're in every freaking game possible. I'd rather them be replaced with two older guys. Yes I understand why they almost "have" to be in because people would have a fit. But if it was up to me they wouldn't be. If you want them go find any sd game and play as them.
I want Rare/unused legends! Akklaim had the right idea with their guys. Though those are different circumstances.

I agree with u and while I'm happy that we're finally getting a legends game, my question is why is the roster not more than 40. If THQ are to include The Rock, his first 'Real' WM match was against Austin at WM15 which is 1999. I know he fought The Sultan & Ken Shamrock before that but archive footage would hardly be put together for those matches. Therefore this is why I think 1999 is the cut off date & to me 40 wrestlers to cover WM1-WM15 is poor considering this game is just for XBOX 360 & PS3!!

You guys are forgetting the money market that is DLC. Why give us 60+ wrestlers when they can give us 40 and make us pay for the rest? Unfortunately, this is the big negative of DLC.

I've had enough of SVR news, I'm sick seeing of so much disc space wasted on the same character model from 2 years ago, commentators, ring announcers and Shane in a suit! That's what's going to so great about this game, no wasted character models and they're all going to be brand new. You only need one announcer (Finkel), two commentators (Vince and JR), and as for Managers, all the major ones (Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Bearer, Mr. Fuji) managed several major wrestlers so they can be used often.

I read on wrestlezone that Vince has banned Foley and Savage from being in the game as well as some other wrestlers

If it doesn't come from a reliable gaming website don't believe it.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Vince McMahon has decided to pull Randy Savage as a playable character in the upcoming "Legends of Wrestlemania" video game which is slated to be released by THQ next March. Savage, who competed in 9 out of the first 10 Wrestlemania's and won the WWF Championship at two of them, is being regarded by THQ as a huge loss to the video game. In addition to Savage, McMahon has also made the decision to pull Mick Foley from the game even though his character had already been created. McMahon made the decision following Foley's departure from WWE and announcement that he has signed with TNA. Several other names were also removed from the game at McMahon's request, but those names have yet to be released.

Its going to be pointless enough without Savage.

Thats probably the 3rd or 4th time I've seen that "report" about Savage and Foley on this board.
Its not news that Savage isn't going to be in the game...we already knew he wasn't going to be in there. Anyone on a message board could have came up with that "report".
And honestly I could care less if Foley is in the game or not. One because I've never played as him, two I dont think of him when I think of "WrestleMania" anyway.

Honky Tonk Man is a possibility as well as he doesn't like WWE and vise versa.
