Some thoughts and points I'd like to bring up in the midst of the wrestling world.
1. I'll admit I guess maybe I haven't been watching as much wrestling as I should be. For some reason everything has gotten boring to me. But as we'll see, not all is lost and I do watch some stuff.
2. I guess the one thing I am consistently watching is AWA on ESPN Classic every night. If you haven't watched it, you need to. Maybe for the old school nostalgia, maybe for the really bad wrestling at times. But I want to bring to light one of the matches I saw on there. Kerry Von Erich vs. Jerry Lawler in a WCCW vs. AWA title match. And no not the Super Clash III match. This was a match from Memphis. It had such a unique, twisted, messed up awesome finish that I don't know how to describe it. If you're a fan of those on your seat finishes like I am, you need to check it out.
3. I've been too busy lately and I'm far behind on my ROH watching. I got Eye of the Storm, Sixth Anniversary Show and Double Feature amongst others sitting on the shelf collecting dust. Let me just say that after watching the Ultimate Endurance match from Without Remorse, I loved the pop that AOTF got when they were eliminated first. It's actually a shame that Without Remorse doesn't get the big ups that it should. There's atleast two above average to great undercard matches on the card and a great stiff main event. If you haven't watched it, you need to.
4. I haven't watched WWE in forever. When was the last time I did watch it. I did catch Punker/Orton this week but then suddenly remembered why I didn't watch when Regal comes and turns the lights off. This whole Adamle thing is so stupid to. I think they took his initial actual lack of wrestling and fan hatred and spun it into their own storyline. You could tell how intentional Lalwer was trying to make him look stupid on Raw.
5. TNA is another thing I haven't been too interested in. At first I was all for Joe getting the title but now I don't know. I guess a glimmer of hope came for me today when I read that in this year's X-Cup that there will be guys from CMLL, new Japan and Dragon Gate. My mouth waters at the possibility of guys like Styles and Ki against the Dragon Gate guys. And no I know my shit. "Low-Ki isn't in TNA anymore!" Ah, touche, Ki works for New Japan now.
6. I went to a small indy show this past Friday night. Nothing to write home about. But after looking around at that crowd, I kind of got worried about something. When I looked out on the crowd, I saw people wearing John Cena shirts, Hardys shirts, TNA shirts, and these are the kind of people who considered Steve Austin, the Rock, WCW and Hulk hogan old school wrestling. Trust me, go on the Old School Wrestling board on WF and this is all they talk about or know about. But what about the good old days of the territories like Portland, Detroit, Texas and San Francisco. You go to a show and nobody remembers that stuff or even knows about it for that matter. You mention names like Tully Blanchard, Harley Race or Nick Bockwinkle and people don't know who the hell you're talking about. I myself live for those days, but the fans of today have no sense of appreciation for what guys like them and so many others did for the sport.
7. And this last one is about this board. What happened to the in depth discussions on this board? Now all I see is posts that are all shills. "Come see APXWF this Friday!", "My favorite fed WVXFW is running down the street in Bumville this weekend!". C'mon, shills are no good and does anybody really care? Where'd all the smart people go? Has this board really gone down hill that much?
I feel sorry for the future of professional wrestling when fans like me are gone.....

No offense, but why post thoughts if you haven't been watching the shows? Why not just ask what's going on? And why are you putting down companies when you don't even know what is going on?

Ah....duh. If you would have read it, your mind would have clicked that I have been watching. Just not watching as much as I would like to. I'm commenting on what I've watched. And therefore have the ability to put it down.

Ki can't even walk. Doubt he would be in the X Cup.

I love the fact some fans think they are "better" fans than others. You're like Hydra, you have a superiority complex.

There are plenty of "smart" people on here. But we don't want to be talked down to by those who think they are elitists.

If I could I'd watch it all the time, but life doesn't permit that. In saying, "not watching as much as I should be" it means not watching it every day. And where the hell did I say I didn't know what was going on? Sure sounds like from what my fingers spewed out of the keyboard that I know what the hell is up. Exactly what I'm trying to say with the last thought about the countless shills that start up no conversation whatsoever.

I quoted YOUR post. You saw me do it. So don't tell me what to comprehend.
I just re-read everything you wrote, and it's really not that smart. 12 year olds could point out the things you did. So maybe your "Random Off The Wall Wrestling Thoughts" aren't that random or off the wall. Your title backfired. Nice try.
Again with the talking down to people. Grow up.

Super....I enjoyed your write up. I dont agree with all your points, but I definitely think you made a couple good ones and you did defend your point of view.
As far as this board being dead........yeah pretty much so. Chat thread was killed and 80% of the members left/lost interest.

I'm gonna do this since I'm bored as all HELL....
1. I'm totally pumped for NWA Top-Rope in June, since Adam Pearce is coming to defend the NWA Championship.. It's always been one of my "Things I Wanna See" to see the NWA Championship defended, so lets hope it's a good match, ehh??
2. I WANNA WATCH THOSE AWAs!! I keep forgetting, and when I remember it's not on.. I'll make sure to watch it tonight..
3. I haven't been watching alot of wrestling either.. The basic thing.. Raw.. TNA.... ECW and Smackdown ever couple of weeks... So basically 2 or 3 (Counting the TNA repeat) wrestling shows a week.. I'm almost always watching a shoot though, if that counts..
4. I haven't been to a show in SO LONG.. I'm getting like a withdraw from it.. I wish I could go to ATL every week, but I can't.. And Top-Rope's events have been so out of order and unadvertised I never hear about them.. So I'm itching to go to a show..
5. Another live event show point... I'M WANTING TO TAKE PICTURES!!... I love taking pictures, and I'm itching to go to an event and snap a few pics..
6. I hate ROH nowadays, so, no comment on that..
7. I love TNA..... Don't ask why, cause I have no clue.... Angle needs to win the title back like.... NOW... Nothing against Joe, cause I'm a big fan, but he obviously can't draw like Angle on a mainstream setting..
That's it...... Sorry for boring you..

KvE did it, I'm bored and I don't post here often, so I'll bite. 1.) I love pro wrestling. I watch it everytime it is on TV (as long as I'm home). RAW is a staple, ECW usually is too. I miss the first half hour of TNA usually cos of the Office and when I'm home, I watch Smackdown like I'm still 5 years old. It's just a fun show to me. 2.) I went to the IWA triple shot at the beginning of this month. Lots of wrestling, lots of good times and lots of good people but that's a given. IWAMidsouthWrestling.com and SmartMarkVideo.com to order the DVDs. People need to remember the name Egotistico Fantastico. Tremendous guy that I think will be breaking out soon. 3.) I get to see my first Action Packed Wrestling DVD in the upcoming week. A local show ran in Rutland, Vermont. It's a benefit for autism, I believe. Check out their website and if you're in the area, I HIGHLY suggest going to it. The main is Samoa Joe vs. Jay Lethal, plus Daizee Haze vs. Nikki Roxx. Delirious, Brodie Lee, Jigsaw, El Generico HC Loc, a bunch of indy guys. www.apwrestling.cjb.net/4.) I skimmed through the first Hardcore Homecoming again the other day. Ian getting hit in the nuts by Kronus cracked me up. 5.) I don't see much ROH either. I'm not too much of a fan. If I see one ROH match, I'm like, that was good crapbut I can't watch a whole show. Jigsaw becoming a generic indy guy in pleather pants makes my brain hurt. 6.) Recently got a look at the Young Bucks from PWG. I'm a fan. They do dives and they yell things like, "I can FLY" or "I'm Falling" 7.) Some people hated it but Necro complimented me to a mutual friend about the Ian Rotten roast, made me feel good. That's all I got folks,

As far as this board being dead........yeah pretty much so. Chat thread was killed and 80% of the members left/lost interest. I agree this board has really hit a snag with the removal of the chat thread. It really is easily the most misunderstood thing about this board as far as bringing in interest that turned people onto posting around the board. But I digress, I'm not one who lost interest or any of that, it is just a lot harder to channel a topic without a source for passionate conversation which is difficult on a board like this where topics with strong emotional attachments are few and far between.

1. Smackdown needs to go back to Thursdays. Friday night is a dumb night for wrestling, and yes I could record it but I usually forget b/c I'm busy on fridays.
2. I HATE Adam Pearce. I realized this while watching an ROH dvd the other day. I don't know what it is about him but I can't stand the man.
3. ROH needs to stop booking Morishima. He's horrible.
4. People need to stop bitching about Nigel. The "Same old sh*t" chant is getting pretty old itself. I never understand how people complain that all he does is clotheslines, which is hardly the case, but can still cheer for Claudio (who I do like) when he does equally as man Euro. Uppercuts.

That reminds me of the Dragon/Cabana match I went to in Chicago and him getting the "same old shit" chant for doing his "whoaaa" surfboard multiple times and then looking at the crowd and doing it even more.
That Ruled.

What may seem old school to you is not old school to everyone else. Just like alot of people now consider Austin and The Rock old school people like you would have been considering Harley Race , Kerry Von Erich etc etc etc old school in like 1993 or whenever. In 10 years time or so people will be considering Cena old school. It's a cycle, live with it.
Not everybody is 40 years old you ignorant tosser and those that aren't are highly unlikely to go back and watch old tapes of stuff that does not interest them just to say they know who those people are.
