I cannot figure out where to type in the key to activate the upgrade. I've purchased it and everything, I just have no idea how to actually upgrade it.
Any help?

you have to go into the preference menu, go through the tabs, there's a place to type that information in. I'm at work right now otherwise I'd post a screenshot. I upgraded a few months ago to Pro... it's a piece of cake to put in that info

Upgrading to QuickTime Pro using the Internet* 1) Check that you have not purchased the CD-ROM from Apple or some other CD-ROM that contains the Pro edition of QuickTime 3. 2) Click the Now button in the Get QuickTime Pro movie to automatically go to the Upgrade to Quicktime 3 Pro page, or 3) Using the Web browser, go to Apple's QuickTime web site, www.apple.com/quicktime/upgrade and follow the instructions for upgrading your QuickTime 3 to QuickTime 3 Pro. Be sure to remember exactly how you enter your Name and Organization as you will need it in step 6 below. 4) Open the QuickTime control panel, choose Registration in the pop-up menu, and in the Registration panel click the Register On-line button. 5) Once you have received this registration information, click the Enter Registration button once to enter it. 6) In the dialog box that appears, enter your registration information as was done in the web site or your registration number will not match.
