Here's the report -
Jeff Jarrett, who recently turned 41, is not retired and still looking to return to the ring. He's simply waiting for the right time to return. However, Jarrett only wants to return if he can make a major impact and be in a title program. Unlike WWE, TNA has long-term plans on major storylines as they often plant seeds for future feuds while current ones are ongoing. For much of the latter half of 2007, TNA knew they were building towards a Samoa Joe title win over Kurt Angle, and there was no point in Jeff Jarrett getting involved in a title feud until Joe vs. Angle came to a conclusion. Jarrett last appeared in a TNA ring one year ago tomorrow when he lost to Robert Roode at last year's Sacrifice pay-per-view.

I'd like to see him back, but not in the title seen at all.

Eh, honestly could care less if he comes back. I'm willing to bet he'll take the title from Joe if/when he comes back.

Ugh so he comes back and wins the title...holds it for lets say 4 months loses it and wins it back the following month. Im only interested in him returning if he's not in the title scene for a good amount of time

That report says unlike WWE TNA has long term booking?
Lmao.
How many matches have I seen hotshotted and thrown on T.V. That could have been built for ppv and drawn money.

They finally put the belt on Joe and they go down to a .9 rating. I can't wait to see what their excuse is when Double Jackass comes back to feud with Joe for the title and the rating drops to a .6.

^So true. Jarrett as champ would probably kill the ratings. After all, he did earn the title of ratings killer. Remember when he got the belt before losing it to Sting? The ratings dropped.

As a Jarrett fan, this is good news. If only he returns before the UK tour next month.

I miss being mad because Jarrett retained the title. Maybe I'll try to watch if he returns as a heel.

I'd love a Jarrett return. As much as people have a go at him all the time he knows the business and is an asset to TNA Wrestling.
If he's a face then it's great, people rally behind him. If he's a heel everyone hates him and people tune in hoping for someone to take the belt off him. It's classic textbook booking to have a heel champion for a long term.
Personally the stretch where he was NWA Champ before droping it to Sting was one of the best times in TNA for me. Thought it was great booking and great television.
