I have to update a Microsoft Excel document for work, and I've been doing it weekly for a while. However, the problem is, a few of the cells aren't updating correct. So, when I go to try and fix it, it says I need a password.
The problem is, the guy that created the document no longer works for the company, and never told the password to anyone else, and/or left any notes about it.
So, I'm wondering, is there any way to override the password so I can edit these cells? I've been trying for over an hour and can't figure it out.
Thanks in advance.

i Think this would go in the helpdesk...convientietly located as a sub-board to our user support board.
In regards to your question, i've never heard of that, so i dont have an answer

I don't think you can overwrite it. Though try copying and pasting the entire document into a new excel document. That MAY work.
