Something in the business called a gimmick, and he has been wearing all sorts of outfits for years, its understandable why he does what he does. That being said if someone new to wrestling turned on RAW too see a 40+ year old man dancing around to a theme like Shawn has, well yea, then I can see were you are coming from.

I respect that you have a different opinion, but HBK is my personal favorite wrestler. When I started watching in like 1996 and I was 9 years old he first became my favorite wrestler and still is.

Sure, the music is a bit silly as is the gimmick, but honestly the music is very catchy and recognizable and that is unique with so many generic, boring theme musics and gimmicks out there. Also, in the ring you can't deny he's an amazing wrestler, perhaps the overall best WWE has ever had. He does submission, high-flying, chain-wrestling, he can get technical and his in-ring storytelling, in my opinion, is unparalleled.

Like other posters here, I don't need to defend HBK his work stands on its own. There's a reason why he is where he is today. Best worker in the business right now.

I'll go the nice route here. It's one thing to not like him, but to say he sucks is borderline idiocy.

Now this will turn into a Bret vs. Shawn topic again...

As for Michaels, I think he's been one of the most talented performers ever in the history of professional wrestling. Obviously, he learned a lot from guys before him who donned flashy gimmicks involving a lot of showmanship, but he took it to another level.

He's been able to reinvent himself after a near career-ending injury to his back and has put on even better matches than he was during his absolute prime in 1996. He doesn't dance like a girl that much anymore or focus his attention on appealing to that crowd, so I would say it's easier to stomach the entrance music and appearance of Shawn today. I've always admired his ability to carry guys with little talent to great, memorable matches (Sid, Diesel) as well as bring the best out of guys with talent (Triple H, Angle).

It's absoutely ridiculous to say he sucks, because that just isn't true. You might not like him, for instance, but you still have to respect the work he's put together over the years from his days teaming with Jannetty to his current state with WWE.
