Who cares what he does OUTSIDE the ring? His work INSIDE the ring speaks for itself and it says that Shawn Michaels is the best wrestler in the business.

Shawn Michaels sucks real bad? Don't get me wrong as he's a tremendous athlete, but he wears ridiculous outfits and dances like a girl to the ring. I just have never been able to take him seriously. Bret Hart > Shawn Michaels.  Let's see, Bret quit because of a concussion, HBK quit because of a back injury......and who came back and still works?  And like newfrigginshow says, I don't have to defend him. He does pretty good job of that himself. |

He is an entertainer. The fans love him , and they are used to seeing him in his ridiculous outfits & his dancing

I want to preface this by saying that Michaels is my #1 of all time....
BUT
I feel like he's grown a little stale. Look at some of his past few rivals/big match opponents: Batista, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, and now Jericho. This is 2003 all over again (check Wrestlemania XIX, Bad Blood, Unforgiven, & Armageddon)! I thought the program with Kennedy was gold, but it never really caught on like it could have had it been given a more prominent role in the WWE. HBK/Cena was a great 'Mania main event, but in my opinion that hasn't done enough for me to keep his character interesting.
I think his time has simply passed on Raw. Personally, I think he could benefit from a move to Smackdown to feud with the likes of MVP, The Great Khali (and yes, I do remember the ONE match (not feud) they had before Judgment Day 2007), & Chavo & Morrison (via the Smackdown/ECW exchange).

well if we're going only on that...then Bret Hart sucked...he wore pink...

Bret > HBK HBK is no where near as good as wreslter as Bret. and Bret is no where near as good as a entertainer than HBK. and to the topic poster: rediculous outfits? Okay? so i guess a man wearing pink in practiclly every match and with pink go-go glasses is normal. |

If that was the case, with Ric Flair and the robes that he's worn, he should be considered the biggest joke of all time.....but he's not because nobody cares as long as you can perform in the ring. If you think a guy sucks because of what he wears, then you aren't a WRESTLING FAN....you should go watch Queer Eye for the Straight Guy or something. |

While i am definitely not a HBK fan, I wouldn't say he sucks. He is a tremendous wrestler and performer and a lot of his matches are good.

I love him, he's probably one of the top 3 on the entire WWE roster. He can carry anyone and make them look great. He can for sure go with the best of them, I have no idea how someone who studies wrestling wouldn't give Shawn Michaels the credit he deserves.

The man just keeps on going. No matter if he botches or nails it. He is about as dedicated to the business as anyone. No no, I think he is still great, and as long as he can keep selling matches/merchandise he will still be around. |

Honestly, as hard as I tried, I cannot hate HBK. He is that good. On the other hand, I have ALWAYS hated Bret Hart, and feel his presence in wrestling lore will always be overstated. Owen I liked quite a lot. HBK though, is so good that I dont see how anyone could hate him. He will be up there in the top 10 of all time, possibly number 3 after Hogan and Flair. I don't see Bret cracking the top 10, let alone surpassing Andre the Giant (4).
