I just got a TV tuner in the mail for my computer, but I am having some trouble installing it. I installed the tuner itself into the computer, and when I turned it on, it said I had new hardware. So it asked me to put in the cd and I did. So then it finished the first part of the setup. Then the new device thing popped open again, asking for the cd, so I clicked next. This time, though, it said that the device was unknown. After a little bit, it said "cannot install hardware" or something. So then I tried installing the program WinDVR, and when the setup was almost done, it said "cannot get device". Do you know how I can fix this so I can install the driver?

Unplug the TV Tuner, go to the website for the company that made the TV Tuner, go to Support, Drivers, find your TV Tuner, download the drivers. Install. Re-attach the TV Tuner. Reinstall everything you tried installing.

In the directions though, it said install the hardware first, and then it would open up when u restarted the computer. I emailed the guy and he said I can exchange it but didn't tell me how. But yeah I guess i'll end up doing that. Thanks everyone. If you have any other ideas let me know.
