They bringing in Kompany as a replacement for Corluka? I may be wrong, but I'm sure that Kompany can play in the Holding Midfield role too. Yeah he's a defender and holding midfielder so they've probably signed him for the midfield role.

David Healy is having a medical at the Stadium of Light I've heard.

^ Roy Keane is going to town on the transfers. Cisse... Healy possibly Carlton Cole and Anton Ferdinand. Is there such a thing as too many signings?

Yeah and Keano is overcooking it imo.

David Healy is a poor buy, didn't exactly shine at Fulham, really pointless buy, as said, he has overcooked it.

It's simple really. Managers are going to buy people from the same country as they are.
I think Roy Keane & Arsene Wenger are prime examples. For Arsenal - Henry, Wiltord, Vieira, Flamini etc.
For Sunderland - McCartney, Miller, possibly Healy (I believe he's Irish isn't he?) etc.

If he did move for cisse, healy and cole that wud leave u with 6 strikers (?) maybe 7 if u count Diouf as a striker. So like to see how he will keep them all happy! But I want them to do well this year...hopefully it will all gel together which it showed signs of against Liverpool...

LMAO, Sunderland paying £8M for Anton Ferdinand.
£8M just for being Rio's brother.

Pretty much what I was thinking. Wenger probably just signed him cause he's French. silv for 750,000 is a bargain.

Zenit coach has said Arshavin is likely to now join Spurs and has been left out of the squad for their upcoming league game this weekend.
After all this will he won't he I hope we finally sign him. Corluka could also be going I've heard on SSN and TalkSport.

Have we signed anyone at all yet? Yeah that young Petrucci from Roma. Feel sorry for the Evertonians though, they have signed absoulutly no one, they will struggle this season.

Chelsea have confirmed that Shevchenko will be returning to AC Milan. No surprises there then.
