I hope Shevchenko gets on well at Milan. Can't really do much worse than Inzaghi and Gilardino were last season really who got about 8 goals between them or something pitiful

^lol
Any United fans think we'd be doing better to add a couple of players in a couple of positions including a striker rather than splashing out for Berba?

Yeh. I'd of happily of had Santa Cruz. With the rest of the cash I'd of got someone like Menez.

If we pay £25m for him then its a good deal. In all honesty though I think Fergie could go out and spend £50m on players if he wanted...but has just chosen not to. I would have like to have seen a new right back. And thats all really. Where else do we need to strengthen? I cant think of anywhere other than another option at left bak

Why on earth would we need a new right back?

I'm gutted about Shevchenko. The only reason he didn't do half as good as he did in Italy was because we didn't play him as our main Centre Forward. He's one of the best Strikers of my Generation, such a shame to see him go.
Hope he gets the Golden Boot this Season for Milan.

I agree Dan I thought oh god Shevchenko is going to chelsea they'll win everything but no, he was missused and therefore was made to look rubbish.
How much is he going for?

Not sure they have made it public have they? Probably nowhere near the £30m they paid for him. I always got the impression Shev was never bought by Mourinho, Ballack the same, but by Roman. But u always have more of a chance to get a game in the Midfield than upfront I think. Hopefully he will succeed at Milan again seemed like a nice guy!

Kinda like what happens in wrestling then in the sense that they dont utilize their talents

Funny move that for Senderos. Doubt he'll start for them, Newcastle would have been a better move probably, at last he'd get first team football.

Pavlyuchenko says he is off to Spurs, hopefully that will bring Berba closer to us

Probably will Singster but imagine Pavlyuchenko/Berba for Spurs Also tbh i'm not certain because Berba going would mean Spurs would still only have 2 strikers in Bent and Pavlyuchenko since obv keane and defoe have left in the last year, 2 is enough? not for me. Yer Senderos is a weird one, I still rate him though

Spurs just need to keep the ship running this year because they're not gonna challenge the top four but that's not to say they can't in the future but they need to spend their money wisely and buy players that are proven to be top ten premier league players, so they can qualify for Europe again and keep the revenue coming in. They could blow it all if they bought a player like Pavlyuchenko and he didn't work, if he did work, he'd only be sold on after two years because the bigger clubs would then want him.
Villa & Blackburn wouldn't want to do business and I know Cruz just signed a new deal but if Spurs went for Santa Cruz, Carew or Agbonlahor with their Berba cash, that would be better for them imo.
