Pretty simple poll.
Had Kaz not won the TerrorDome, good for one future X-Division title shot, and immediate expenses paid trip to the Triple Threat Main Event at Sacrifice. Had that been, all a dream.
Who would you have, instead, gave the win too? In essence, placed in the main event?
Your reasons can vary, just go with the wrestler you'd most like to see have the opportunity. Whether it be long deserving or a chance to break out. (Your choice)
__________
Mine would be Johnny Devine. Since he busts his ass, every pay per view, and has really come into his own since departing from Team Canada.
I enjoyed his involvement in Paparazzi Productions, but he has really became a favorite since taking the role of the "X-Division Traitor".
He's probably on bottom of the list as far as choices, as TNA may have wanted a baby face to keep fans on the fence that were disappointed by Angle's removal.
However, Devine would have definitely been a good choice. At least I feel he would have.
Not necessarily the benefactor, but given a chance to look strong by hanging with the big boys of the Heavyweight Division.
Another option I would say is Curry Man. Who I despise.
Had he won, I'd say (even though TNA would find a way to ruin it) you get Steiner to make his entrance come main event time. Than Joe. As people await Curry Man, either don't play his music or play it with absence of mister "hot, spicy, and taste great."
After a minute, play Christopher Daniels music. 2005-2007, or maybe even the legit version Marilyn Manson's Disposable Teens
Have him come out and say, he infiltrated the minds of his feeble flock and found out how easily pleased they are. Now it's time to come back, and redevined what they they like, and choose to cling to. (or some thing to that extent.
From there, have Daniels win the title. Yes, ending Joe's reign 1-month in.
Daniels would get nice heel heat, and a big win over Steiner or Joe. But before I get critique for ruining Joe's first run with the title, by him losing on the first defense.
Joe's run is already hurting, he's deserving of more than one run, and TNA's not gonna turn this one run into gold.
Though I would have a feud with Daniels and Joe, possibly having Joe go over Daniels in October for Bound for Glory.
Though this did not, and can not happen now. Only hindsight and imagination.
