Show Notes: The Flyers/Penguins game is still airing on the big screen before the show, even though the Flyers are getting slaughtered. Why they want to set a bad mood for the day, I have no idea. They finally stopped showing the game at the end of the first period.
Louden Noxious was the ring announcer for this evening. Nick Papagiorgio is there and did the show opener.
Attendance is in the 230 range.
1. Bobby Dempsey and Sara del Rey def. Chuck Taylor and Daizee Haze. In true ECW Arena fashion, a full-on catfight broke out between...Chuck and Bobby Dempsey. In a true surprise, Daizee Haze took a rare fall to Sara del Rey. Sweet'n'Sour International have gained their first point.
2. Gran Akuma def. PSYCHO following a moonsault. Nothing too special or notable, but a fine match in which both men stayed competitive throughout. Dave noted "I didn't care for him, but others did."
3. Tim Donst and Hydra def. Super Smash Bros. Donst gets the win over Stupefied with a Fireman's Carry Suplex, "like a Death Valley Driver with a bridge hold for the pin". There was clear friction between Donst and Hydra, with the two of them trying to one-up the other in all sorts of ways.
4. Vin Gerard def. Lince Dorado with the STF. Lince Dorado refused to tap; the hold was applied until Lince passed out. Vin played fair for the most part throughout the match and didn't make any attempts to rip the mask.
5. Claudio Castagnoli, El Pantera and Sonjay Dutt def. Mike Quackenbush, Jorge "Skayde" Rivera and Turboman. Claudio pinned Turboman after a toss-up European Uppercut and a Ricola Bomb. The match received a standing ovation after the conclusion.
6. Eddie Kingston def. Shane Storm. King's clearly a little rusty with CHIKARA and its family friendly environment, as he was caught clearly saying some four letter words that start with the letter "f". He also blew "the mother of all snot rockets" into the crowd. Storm is bleeding profusely from the nose, reminiscent of their last match back in January. Kingston gets the win via knockout after a cobra clutch suplex; the cobra clutch was held on after to ensure that Storm was out. "Shane is disgusting", definitely more brutal than the first encounter.
7. The Colony def. The Fabulous Three. Larry Sweeney was pinned after The Colony racked him up and put him away with The Ant Hill. After some issues between The Fabulous Three, Sweeney lays out the challenge to The Colony for a rematch in Hellertown on June 13th. Colony accepts and the Fabulous Three hug it out.
8. Brodie Lee def. Pelle Primeau. As Dave affectionately called it, "Boot to Face Time". A complete squash, complete with a post-match annihilation from Brodie. Claudio makes the save and Brodie backs out to avoid confrontation.
9. CHIKARA Campeonatos de Parejas: Incoherence vs The Osirian Portal
Primera Caida: Delirious pinned Ophidian using the Chemical Imbalance to put Incoherence up 1-0.
Segunda Caida: Incoherence does their best Briscoes impersonation by winning the first two falls for the clean sweep. A double fisherman's buster similar to what put FIST away last month puts the Osirian Portal down for the count.
10. Rey de Voladores Finals: Incognito def. Helios to become the 2008 Rey de Voladores. Helios tapped out to something "twisty and painful looking". Yes, the King of the Flippies was won via submission. Kind of a sloppy match overall.
