I like how everyone here only seems to call him scum for killing his kid, murdering your wife acceptable now days? Ever since OJ Simpson got away with it, yes.

I think that since every Benoit thread winds up a heated fight it just goes to show that no matter what side you are on, we fans are still hurting by what one of our once upon a time heroes did.

Get over it. He doesn't deserve recognition. though you can say he doesn't, he's accomplished more than you have especially money and fame wise... who are you? I don't know. that doesn't mean crap to anyone, because he killed his family. anything he did before June 22nd 2007, doesn't matter any more. he will be remembered for the murders, not his career

just so everyone knows:
The "who" jokes were old, boring and unfunny two days after the murder/suicide.

Of what happening? A wrestler killing his child, wife and then himself? I don't think so... I think so considering how many wrestlers and other atheletes with brain damage have killed themselves. Ignoring the problem isn't going to make it go away. Yeah, because watching one of his matches educates you on brain damage. ![::)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/rolleyes.gif) They brought it up on several news sources, and that's what was needed. Educating people on athletes with brain damage doesn't have anything to do with keeping him on WWE DVD's.

After what Benoit did, he doesn't deserve to be mentioned again. Not unless you are talking about murderers that is. He shouldn't be remembered for anything other than that because that's what he was.

WOW! This thread really show you who on these forums are actually children.
It is possible to enjoy a performance and not the performer. Do any of you listen to R. Kelly? Watch the Jeepers Creepers films? You do? Look in the mirror and see what a hypocrite/fan of child molesters looks like.

Anyone think that they're not trying to erase him from our memories and "insult our intelligence" but would rather just not be associated with the name anymore due to bad publicity? Sure, he's on 24/7 every now and then, but it's a lot easier to censor his name in a speech than to edit his appearance out on Nitro.
Obviously they don't want us to forget he existed if Michaels and Triple H keep constantly using the Crossface.

It's not about what Benoit did. It was Ric Flair's Hall of Fame speech, and if Ric wanted to mention him, it should have stayed.

I had been a fan of his and been watching his matches for 12 years before this all happened. And it's incredibly sad and disappointing, but as bad as what he did, one day can't ruin 12 years of other good memories for me.
We will never know what, or why this happened, and without proof or definitive evidence that what he did was anything more than blind rage and a moment of weakness....it doesn't make him a bad person.
Everybody "snaps" sometimes, you have a bad day, you do things you will regret....this was an EXTREME case, granted. But it's not like he was a serial killer and enjoyed what happened, I think he lost it for a minute, made a mistake and he regretted it and thats why he killed himself instead of trying to get away.....he didn't want to live with what he did because in reality he truly loved his wife and son and didn't want to live without them.
That's my opinion.

That's my opinion. yeah thats my take on it basically. what happened happened, but i never knew the guy personally, so his image as the "Crippler" in the context i was used to viewing him through for years (Wrestling) was kinda unphased. i still consider myself a fan of the guy. id attribute the actions to either drugs, brain damage, or a mix of both. and under those circumstances, its kinda hard to really "Blame" anyone of thier actions so to speak, because its not really them performing the action. you know?
