Who else here thinks that Lanny Poffo was one of the most underrated wrestleres ever? Being Macho's brother aside, the guy was an innovator of high-flying moves and was an incredible worker, he was like RVD of the 80s, and was excellent on the mic. Look at heat he got when he was the Genius. This guy should've been alot bigger than what he was.
Randy Savage was awesome, but Lanny should've been huge too. Just watch his matches with Savage against the Rock n Roll Express. What do you guys think?

I do think he was incredibly talented and entertaining...
I'm not surprised he was never a main eventer though... As great as he was, WWF was so over saturated with amazing talent that it was ridiculous... Heck, he was higher on the card than many even better wrestlers.
I think he made a better manager than wrestler though, he just stood out more in that regard.

As leaping Lanny I personally thought he was awkward and not so great on the mic, however as the Genius I thought he was great, or Genius.

I remember wondering how Lanny Poffo suddenly got so smart. lol. I thought he was pretty skilled as a wrestler but I think he did pretty well for his place on the card. He was at the top for a run with Hulk Hogan. What else could you ask for in the late 80's early 90's?

I liked his character as a kid. Loved how he threw frisbees out to the crowd. I think his small physique was the only thing that held him back. Not that macho man was that much bigger at the time.

Oh, he was great. Either as the jobber "Leaping" Lanny Poffo or as The Genius, he was tremendous either way. That was awesome how he used to toss his trademark frisbees out to the crowd though. I wonder if anyone on here was ever lucky enough to get one....

He will be appearing at a local wrestling event next month in Milton, On. I can't wait. I'll be getting my MOC CS figure signed for sure!!

Poffo was brilliant, he was actually a better wrestler than his brother Randy and had tremendous ring psychology as well.
