I haven't watched this one in a year or two, but from what I recall, Hall vs. Nash was just bizarre. And the Warrior-Hogan rematch was a total dud, especially when Hogan had the little mishap with the flash paper.
I vaguely recall being happy with some of the undercard matches, though. Which isn't surprising for 1998 WCW... they usually had good to excellent midcard and undercard matches, then the main events were either totally overbooked or just plain phoned in.

DDP/Goldberg was one of the best matches Goldbergs ever been in.
Hart/Sting was decent it wasnt 5 stars but it was decent enough...Liked the ending
Warrior/Hogan well that match was destined to suck and it did...
Nash/Hall...I think this would of been better if it was an actual match. If my memory serves me correctly i believe Hall got an early advantage and then Nash just kicked his ass which i didnt like.

This was actual one of the few WCW Pay-Per-Views I ordered in 1998...at the time I loved it... but I was also around eight... now looking back I still think it was an alright PPV, but really nothing special.
You had DDP vs. Goldberg, which wasn't that awful for a Goldberg match, but as a main event really not to great, but I guess for what it was, it could had been a lot worse, and was one of Goldberg's better WCW matches at the time.
Ultimate Warrior vs. Hollywood Hogan was awful, just horrible... just an excuse for Hogan to get the win over on Warrior.
Scott Hall vs. Kevin Nash, at the time I was very interested in there feud, and was really excited for there "big" match at Halloween Havoc, and I actually remember being pretty disappointed in there match... after all they had pretty much been building up a match between the two since like May of that year...
Sting vs. Bret Hart was of course the great match, I'd have to agree. Very underrated match, I think anyway.
Overall I'd give Halloween Havoc 1998 about a 6 1/2 / 10. The 1996 and 1997 Halloween Havoc's though in my opinion were a lot better.

I still think it's one of Goldberg's best matches...I also, speaking of that match I remember reading in Eric Bischoff's book about Goldberg and DDP going on a bit to long and a lot of people missed the end of the match because the PPV got cut off... but that must have not been with DirecTV because I ordered it and it was fine... I actual have the tape still from when I recorded it off PPV.

It's one of my all time favorite PPVs, except Hogan vs. Warrior. I liked all the other matches on the card though. Goldberg vs. Diamond Dallas Page and Sting vs. Bret Hart are two of my favorite matches. Nash vs. Hall was entertaining, it was a good fight, which made sense with the personal rivalry at the time. Wolfpack vs. nWo Hollywood is my favorite feud. Disco vs. Kidman-great match and Disco is one of the most underrated wrestlers ever. Jericho vs. Raven very good match for the TV title, good opener. Steiner and The Giant vs. Rick Steiner and well Buff doesn't count cause he turned on him as soon as he was tagged in. Plus Giant with a dropkick off the top rope was awesome. Overall, I like the PPV.

I remember being at my friend's house watching this PPV, & it ran WAY too long & they lost their TV time after Hogan/Warrior. My God was everyone pissed. Thats why they re-aired the remaining PPV on Nitro the next night.

It sucked.
Goldberg/DDP was a decent match, though. Check that match out; skip the rest.

I remember ordering it and falling asleep near before the show went off. I woke up and wanted to watch the Goldberg/DDP match before school but my dad said the telecast cut off before that match. I thought he was ing with me up until they announced on Nitro that lots of people didn't see it. I dug what I saw of it, but Halloween Havoc was always one of my favorite PPV's growing up, so I cut it a little slack, plus I was 10 years old.
