Ok so I am not a moron and I understand the lawsuit between the WWE and the WWF, but for the love of god there must have been a way that the WWE could have came to a agreement to not have to edit archived footage. For example I got the new Hardy's dvd set the other day and last night sat down to watch some of the extras, The match at the 2000 Royal Rumble is pretty much unwatchable as there is a WWF sign level with the ring so whenever a wrestler walks in front of it there head disappears.
I really want The Rock box set but as most of its from the Attitude era I imagine it will be just as bad I really do not want to spend over £20 on something like this. Any one else feel this ruins the WWE dvd's. DOn;t get me wring the documentaries are always great but as far as matches go I find most of the ones from the Attitude era unwatchable. No doubt a load of people will jump tp the WWE's defence saying its not that bad but for me I just can not get my head round there is a way for the WWE to get round this. I mean fair eneough if they use old footage on RAW or a PPV blur it out but on a DVD what harm does it do to the WWF as its not a casual just flipped the channel over and saw it who will be watching chances are 99.99 percent of the people buying a WWE dvd know it used to be called the WWF.

Even though I still hate the blurring tbh it doesn't really bother me as much as it did.

Vince just doesn't want to pay the WWF a few hundred thousand a year for the rights.
And yes, it really annoys everyone. But we get used to it.

We shouldn't have to get used to it thats the problem I honestly do not see how any one can enjoy the Hardys vs Dudlesy match on the hardys dvd.

The most distracting blur moment is when Jericho made his debut and stood right in front of a WWF logo the whole time, so it's all a blur around him.

I don't think it's unwatchable, but if given the choice between watching the edited or unedited versions, I'll watch the unedited.

Thing is in the UK as many of you guys know we have the tagged classics line which is 100 percent un edited everything from entrance music logos hell even Jesse ventura on play by play. SO like I said tehre must be some way for WWE to get round this. Now the tagged classics are just rips from video so the quality has not been upscaled but it is far better than all this bluring crap,

I have the rock dvd right now and its even worse man..all the promos/matches from the attitude era are covered in blur.
the most annoying part to me are how even the turnbuckles are blurred.it takes off from the match.
other than that, you really just have to ignore them as best as you can.but it blows still.

Yeah, it gets really annoying that's for sure. Nothing but blurs everywhere from the ring, apron, fans t-shirts, cameramen t-shirts, referee shirts to fans signs to the freaking celing where the banners are.

Yep, I do find blurring thing was very annoying to watched. but WWE can't do any else, or skip the blurring so they would get sued.
