Why would you hold the 2009 tournament the first day of 2009? It'd make sense to hold the "Mr. TNA 2009" tournament on December 31st, 2009... which is what i'll do.

Yes, so it'll start the last day of 2009 (December 1st) and go into early 2010. Thus, deciding Mr. TNA 2009 (the entire year).
It'll be done a bit differently, with no real "polls". The thread will stay open a good 4-5 days, with the first round. Winners advance to the following 4-5 days of voting... so on and so forth.
Main reason I hate award shows. For instance, VMA's 2008. Most of the movies came out in 2007 (Transformers, Superbad, etc.), while most of the good movies of 2008 haven't even come out yet, or just did (Iron Man, Dark Knight, Indiana Jones, etc.)
Award shows should be done in December, after the year is... ya know... over.
