Found this funny quote from Dana White bashing Tito Ortiz on five ounces of pain “Tito is a ing idiot,” White said. “He’s one of the dumbest human beings I’ve ever met. Everything that comes out of his mouth makes no sense. ” White added that he doesn’t think UFC needs Ortiz because he doesn’t think Ortiz can beat any of UFC’s top fighters. “I put up with his crapwhen he was a good fighter,” White said. “He’s not anymore. ” “He’s not in anybody’s Top 10,” White said. “I have no interest whatsoever in being in the Tito Ortiz business. … I’ve never wanted to see anyone get their ass kicked worse than I want to see Tito get his kicked next Saturday night. ----------------------------------------------------------- The following quote was found over at mmaweekly “Right now, basically, I was cleared to fight, had a date in mind, had a goal in mind and so I just wanted to first off get this fight out of the way and get my career back on track,” said Sherk during a recent appearance on MMAWeekly Radio. “And there’s no statute of limitations as far as how long I have to do this thing by, so I’m still talking to my lawyer. We’re still working some stuff out, and after this fight, maybe that’s something that we can go back to. ” During the interview, Sherk reaffirmed his previous statements about never fighting in the state of California again after his treatment during the suspension and subsequent hearings with the state’s athletic commission. “I’ve got no desire to fight in California,” Sherk stated. “The UFC’s fighting all over the country now. They’re coming here to Minneapolis in a few months, so I’ve just got no desire to fight in California now. I don’t like the way I was treated and fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, right?” -------------------------------------- This is the exact reason why I hate Dana White. I remember people saying he is the Vince McMahon of UFC. I ask one question, would Vince ever say this? Sure he may think it but he will never say it. And him saying everything out of Tito's mouth makes "no sence" well it is better than ever other word of a supposed business man being this and that. God he is an idiot.

McMahon has essentially said it about numerous wrestlers who were big draws (Warrior, Hogan, Hart, etc.). The difference is that UFC is real, so the 'ranking' of a given fighter is important. Then again, Tito Ortiz draws like crazy regardless of who he is fighting, so I still feel like White is making a bad business decision by letting him go.

Personal opinion and ability...and I honestly don't care to see Tito anymore. I really don't think his heart is in fighting...and I really can't stand him as a fighter anymore. I don't even have him in my top 15 LHW, and I can't wait to see Machida tear him apart.

His ego he still brings out, I'm just surprised anyone can be in the room with it's size.

if dana white continues the lame attitude towards their fighters come next year only Chuck Lidell would be the lone UFC employee along w/ dana & the fertita bros.

People make me laugh, I recently watched an interview with tito and it is clear he still loves the fight game and his heart is in it, I mean, why would he buy a 2 million dollar training facility off of Oscar De Le hoya? Also Tito is right, Dana should be paying fighters more. Tito has only earned 8 million during his 11 year tenure with UFC, and half had to paid to taxes. Most top level boxers earn 10-20 million a fight. Its unfair.

Obviously you're going to make more money if you're being backed by a promoter. I agree fighters should be getting a better pay out, but Tito (who hasn't finished a fight against someone not named Ken Shamrock) since what...2002? shouldn't be talking.) He's more worried about guest appearances on TV shows and sleeping with his slag of a GF than fighting.

What Dana said is mostly right, Tito hasn't looked impressive in a long time & isn't the huge draw he believes he is. However he is stoill a very marketable fighter & no doubt Dream, Elite XC or others will be queuing up for his services, I think Machida is going to batter him

I agree Moogie, honestly I think the last fight of Titos I was looking forward to was Liddell/Ortiz 2. Since that fight he hasnt honestly shown any real skills like his wrestling thatm akes him stand out as a LHW.

I can't wait until next saturday when everyone on this board has to eat their own words when Ortiz whips that ass, then says FU to dana and all the doubters. Go Ortiz!!! Fu@k all the haters, I'd like to see them climb inside a cage and throw down. It's easy for someone playing with themselves on their mommy's internet to trash a fighters skills, mother fuc@er you get in there and see how well you do. f'n bit@hes.

Ortiz/Shamrock was one of the biggest MMA fights ever. The UFC marketed the hell out of Tito, made a ton of money off of him, and he didn't see his fair share of it. Nor do (many) of the other top-level fighters.

And you just lost any credability you...well...never had. He still got a decent pay-out for those fights (including a nice check for TUF) then decided to take a hiatus from fighting to do TV spots, while STILL jawing about Dana and how much money he wasn't making. Tito needs to shut up and fight, simple as that. He acts like he's a top 10-15 LHW still, and he's not.

Dana and Tito constantly prove that they're both jackasses. The only difference between the two is that Dana is a relatively smart businessman with a big mouth and Tito is a relatively good fighter with a big mouth.
Tito may've been a threat, but Machida is such an unorthodox well-rounder that I call a repeat of his fight with Sokoudjou. Tito will come in with all the hype in the world, but Machida will confuse him, out-grapple him, and eventually nail a submission that gets the "Bad Boy" to tap out.

I love Soko, but he's a striker that needs to work more on his ground game. Tito is an excellent wrestler, hence why people think he has a better chance vs Machida, since his wrestling/ground game has never really been tested (other than BJ...but he was fighting at 205 and was just way out of his weight class)

I can't wait for Tito to shock everyone this saturday and actually win decisively. He hasn't finished a fight in years...but at the same time who has been able to finish him?
Chuck... That is it.

If Sherk doesn't want to fight in Cali, Chicago would welcome him with open arms.

Tito will win in my opinion, people are badly under estimating a talented veteran fighter.
