MMAmania.com just learned that middleweight fighter Chris Leben was today sentenced to 35 days in jail and will be released on May 27, 2008 (he gets credit for time already served), which would give him only 12 days until his scheduled showdown with Michael Bisping at UFC 85: “Bedlam” at the O2 Arena in London, England, on June 7.
It was apparently too close for comfort, forcing to the promotion to scrap the bout, according to WrestlingObserver.com.
No replacement for Leben is known at this time.
“The Crippler” turned himself in to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office in Portland, Oregon, on April 30 because of an old Driving Under the Influence (DUI) probation violation. He did so to obtain a travel visa overseas, but it appears that things did not work out according to plan.
Neither Leben nor the UFC have issued statements at this time. Stay tuned for more details. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Man, that was the fight I was most looking forward to. Who do you guys think will be the replacement?

Well that sucks. I honestly have no idea who they'll throw at Bisping.

It's clear we're left with only one option... Michael Bisping against Mokujin Ken. At least in this case, Bisping will actually be facing a practice dummy, and not someone who will be playing the part of one during the fight.

It looks as though Jason Day is stepping in according to the UFC website.

Now, I know he's grown up a lot and you can see that he's really matured. But after watching Season 1 of TUF again...I really see why people hate him so much. I mean, I watched back then, but I guess I really didn't pay attention to it all that much, now I'm looking for it. And my god...he's an annoying prick. But I do have to admit, he always puts on an exciting fight...win or getting knocked out.
