I just moved into a new apartment complex and every day and night since I moved in all I hear is bass loud music, and people yelling. It goes on during the day and at this time late at night which makes it really hard to get any sleep. I am having a hard time figure out if it's the apartment to the right, left, above, or anywhere else it could be so it's hard to file a complaint although I shall try later today after I wake up(if I can sleep at all) with the apartment complex.
Any one here encounter situations like this ? What did you do?

The condo my dad lives in would shake constantly because the neighbors below him run around, stomp, blast music and everything all the time. Luckily, they moved out.

i lived in an apartment for a while that the maintance would knock on your door before 8 am and people ran through the cooridors more at night than during the day. -abcs

Surely you should be able to findout where its coming from, the sooner you do it, the quicker you can report it.

The other day I had no power on my side of the street so I had the windows open as I was trying to sleep. Some guy across the street and two houses east of me had his stereo blaring. One of the other neighbors actually stuck his head out and screamed at him, but he didn't turn it down. I couldn't sleep with the windows open and when I closed them the house got hot and muggy. It sucked.

That is why I live with my parents. The neighborhood that they live in is so beautiful, quiet and peaceful that I don't want to leave. If I could afford to live there I would buy another house on the block.

The only problem with the neighbors that I have is well, their constant smoking that blows right into my window where I sleep. So I now resorted to a "THANK YOU FOR NOT SMOKING" sign, and is currently looking for a neon sign, haha.
It's so bad, I can't even open my window without smelling ciggy smoke. I don't mind it, but when it's just constantly going right into my window, blah. But at least one of the guys is like coughing whenever he smokes, he gotta realize that it ain't good for him.

I rarely ever have any complaints. There is one guy who tends to have parties like once a month who is playing some God awful music from the 70s until 4am. I wish I knew where it was coming from because I'd report it. I have 3 Illinois state police officers living in my building & people tend to behave because of it.

My neighbors find it fun to blast music at 11:30 at night, when people are trying to  ing sleep. I swear to Jesus, one of these days I'm pulling some Crippler Crossgate crapon them. |

The lady above me constanly hits her kids, then pot smell comes threw the vents, and her kids jump off their window ledge onto the floor, thus causing everything on my walls to fall down, then the people next to me, break into the cable box almost every night, jam their music till 3 am, smoke pot, deal drugs, and my landlord doesnt do shit, yet my landlord tells me to get rid of my snakes. Im trying to find if theres a way if i can take my landlord to court.

I live in a townhouse right now and my neighbours have been doing that everyday. I sleep on the other side of the house and they woke me up at 8am with their music. They grow pot, police won't do anything... their kid screams 24/7 outside, when she should be in school. After when the other kids get home its chaos out there. I'm so glad we are moving by December.

Well we called the office and they said they were coming down here and I haven't heard music in awhile so hopefully they found out which apartment it was and told them to turn it down. We'll see how long it last and then move onto calling the police next time if it happens again.
That stuff a couple of you guys said about pot smell coming through your vents and people having a grow house in there apartment is messed up.

I swear my neighbors were playing basket ball in their living room today, all I heard all afternoon was a ball bouncing, and all our pictures shaking.
