I started collecting the CS series religiously just after CS 6 was released back in 2005. I read somewhere on here that the CS 6 Earthquake with painted chest hair was limited to only 5,000.
Can anyone confirm this or state otherwise? Any information would be helpful.

No mate, the variant was the one with the real chest hair not the painted one, I think.

^ Are you sure? I thought that the real hair Earthquak was in the first wave and the painted chest hair Earthquake was in the second wave.
Well, are either of the Earthquakes limited to 5,000? I read it somewhere back on these boards in 2005 and was hoping someone could confirm or deny this rumor.

There was never a number confirmed by Jeremy, Jakks or anyone regarding how much it was limited to.
I don't think it was "limited" to 5000, that was pure speculation. I'm pretty sure it was just a Wave 1/Wave 2 difference, like Tank Abbott with the barbell, or Zeus with the chain.
I got my Earthquake VERY early on, as soon as MOC pics were seen, and it had real feel hair, so I think the painted hair version was Wave 2, and therefore, the variant.
Hope that helps.

I don't know numbers, but the real hair came out second.

Mine, that I bought more recently at a toy shop, and paid out the ass for, is real hair. Idk I like the look of it. But that's just me, I like the variants.

I didn't think there was a special limited edition figure, but for some reason I've always had the 5,000 number from a few years ago floating in my mind. Thanks for clearing it up thought!
