What do you guys think is the best region in the country to check out indies?
The East Coast has the family friendly NWS,hard hitting guaranteed excitement in JAPW, or the CHIKARArmy strong spirit in PA, not to mention ROH (not intentionally last BTW)
From workers in my area, i've heard nothing but good things about Texas which gives guys up here a good chance to get noticed and often excepted elsewhere
This is not because it's where i live and follow wrestling (i was actually born in PA, and had i not moved here i would have become a HUGE fan of one of those promotions i mentioned, ECW as well)
Anyway, i gotta give it to the Midwest! As the new millenium dawned upon the area so did a massive dry spell where you'd be lucky to so much as FIND a show, but with the explosion of promotions in IA/NE and the constant surge of talent down in the fabled MO and KS (former, and in some circles still) territories.
Missouri has produced top indy stars such as Dingo,Delirious,MisChif,Daizee Haze,Kraig Keesman,Michael Strider & Matt Sydal (whose older brother Mike started recentley). Like the South, i've heard nothing but good things from the TONS of promotions down there, and from expierence working shows with MO guys on them, they all show amazing dedication to this art form
Iowa (and Nebraska to a lesser extent due to a stubborn comission) is quickly becoming a hotbed for Midwestern talent looking to branch out in a diffrent state. Guys like Jaysin Strife (former NWA Midwest X Champ),Hype Gotti & Tony Cortez have produced some of the best matches i've seen in this area in a long time. This has allowed them to "spread the joy" to places like NWA Central States and IWA Mid South
So, which area do you think is the strongest and most popular area of indy wrestling in the States?
