I remember hearing something along the lines of TNA impact airing live on Thursday, the second week being taped the following friday, and doing a live one 2 weeks later in the same live then taped format.
So why did TNA go back to 100% live via tape Impact?

That's one of those great internet rumors. iMPACT went live on March 27th as you know and after that people assumed they was going live every week after and that (what you posted) is how it would be done. But, it was a one night thing to see how well it went as far as ratings went and to see how well they pulled it off.

Live TV is an added expense. For a company that hasnt turned a profit yet.....they dont need that. On top of that, too much of their talent screws crapup too much. They need the ability to edit.

Though, correct me if I'm wrong, didn't TNA promote it as if Impact was going to a live format?
None the less, I didn't expect impact to be live every Thursday, but rather every other Thursday.
Sucks they backed off of it, because with expenses aside, there'd be more reason to tune in or record with no blueprint. (not referring to matt morgan)

What are you talking about? TNA has turned a profit and Panada Energy hasn't put money into TNA in a year.

The reason TNA is not live, is because they tried it once, in a pathetic attempt to try and steal some thunder from WWE and WM 24 - and it ended up being a massive cluster of backstage segments..

No A couple months back it was stated that TNA Had turned a profit & that Panda Energy hasn't been putting money into TNA Get Ur Facts Together,Second of all They went Live to see how the ratings would do Live & as many stated it was a decent attempt but still was a 1.0. They had stopped with Live Impacts all together.
