-- The severity of Randy Orton's broken collarbone is worse than originally thought. His return to the ring has been pushed back until at least October. The initial timetable for his return was just after SummerSlam.
-- WWE is allowing Ric Flair to work independent autograph shows (like those ones with athletes and obscure former television stars) because the company gets a pretty big cut from them. However, the company will generally not allow him to do autograph appearances at non-WWE wrestling shows. Although, Flair is sti ll advertised to make an appearance at an independent show in Oakwood, Virginia later this month.
-- "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig's son Joe was recently transferred from Harley Race's wrestling school to Florida Championship Wrestling. Hennig was allowed to train at Race's school because Race and grandfather Larry "The Axe" Hennig have been friends for 45 years and were a tag team in the 60s. Also, Joe's sister Amy, who is also under a developmental contract, is still training to be a wrestler at Race's school.

I've broke my Collarbone 3 times. Once when I was 3, but after that the next time I broke it was when I was 14. I gave it 5 months of absolute rest and mend, did a wrestling match in my mates garden, he gave me a leg drop and within minutes it had re-broken. I was lucky not to have metal plates put in place.
Seriously, Summerslam is 2 months away, he'd never have been back in time. The Royal Rumble should be a realistic option for a Return date, but even by then he will be unfit. Wrestlemania I'd say.

You have to remember, broken collarbones can take anywhere from 3-5, maybe more months. Depending on the actual severity of the injury is how long he will be out. He is also in much better shape than you(no offense, not meant in a mean way, just it's most likely true), and he will be able to heal a little more quickly than others. Look at Cena, was said to be out for up to at least 2 or 3 more months than he was and came back before expected.

Damn, this better not mean months and months of a long-ass, drawn-out, boring Triple H/John Cena feud. If so, count me out. I don't even give a damn about it now, let alone 5 months down the line.

I highly doubt this is true because they said the same thing about Cena, because WWE wanted to make it a Huge suprise when he came back at the Royal Rumble. I think they'll do the same thing with Orton.

I think they'll do the same thing with Orton. John Cena's injury was fake. It was just to get the belt off him without having to have anybody beat him. And Cena still hasn't lost clean since his return. Randy Orton's career could actually be over. Collarbones are tricky and no matter how long you take to heal them, if they break in certain sports they will keep breaking over and over. That is the fear with Candice Michelle, that she will never wrestle again. Despite how many months off and 2 surgeries, she came back and IMMEDIATELY re-broke her collarbone in her first match back.

Orton's career is definitely in jeopardy.
