This was my first ever floor seats to a WWE event. All the other times were lower level, and even upper level (No Way Out 2004). I had such a great time, being so close to the action. I also debated if I should have brought signs, but decided not to. I'm glad I brought my camera because I was able to meet some superstars outside the arena and get things signed by them.
I went to the arena at around 12:30 or so in the afternoon. The show starts at 5:45 and there were already people waiting in line. I was so happy I went to the arena that early because just when I showed up, Mr. Kennedy KENNEDY was already outside signing autographs and taking pictures. If I showed up even 5 minutes later, he would've been gone! He talked to the people who were there for a little bit (about 5 to 10 people total) and stated that he had a match against Burchill.
After that, we waited for other stars to come by, and waited in line for the show. A little bit later, we saw Ron "The Truth" Killings smoking "something" behind the stairwell. No lie, he was probably high, and smelled like it. He came over and signed some autographs and took pictures. He didn't really talk about his role in the WWE, but he said he's glad to work here.
As you can see, when Killings left, the greatest (and my favorite) mic-worker in the WWE today showed up. Santino Marella! I was so glad to meet him. He was in kayfabe the whole time. He also refused to sign more than one item for everyone, which was nice, because there were two people there who had at least 5 items for each star. They took up a lot of time... When asked him for an autograph, he responded by saying, "You're lucky I'm doing this. I don't ususally do this. I don't like people." I asked "How come?" He said "I like dogs... You know why? Because they don't talk." I said "Dogs probably piss on you." He said "No No, they don't piss on me, they piss on you!" Haha! And he signed my Wrestlemania 24 Program. After that, he was still signing for a few other people, and Maria & Mickie James showed up. Santino didn't notice them until someone yelled out "HEY! MARIA AND MICKIE!" Santino looked shocked, and turned around. He chased after them, and I yelled "THAT'S RIGHT SANTINO, GO GET HER!"
After that, there was about an hour of boredom before Paul London showed up. London is the nicest superstar I've ever met. He spent at least twenty minutes outside with the fans outside. And by that time, there were at least 30 of us. He signed everything for everyone, even that kid who had about 10 trading cards and a photo. He chatted with everyone about random things until he had to go. When asked if he had a match, he said "I don't really know if I have a match or not, it's probably not going to be part of the show anyways."
And that was it for the signings. When the doors finally opened, I was literally the first person to walk in the arena. Everything was empty, and they were setting up the stage, and setting up the million-dollar-bill sign.
The first match of the night was Bryan Danielson vs Lance Cade. I was very confused when I heard Danielson's name. I didn't realize it was really him until he used Cattle Mutilation at the end of the match. They shouldn't have billed him from Oakland, because no one really cared about him besides they kept chanting "LET'S GO OAKLAND!" But ROH isn't popular at all in the west coast, so what could I say.
Raw started, and the pyro was amazing. I love sitting so close to the pyro. Anyways, enough talk. You guys know what happened during the show, and I'll do my best to describe anything important.
I didn't focus on the giveaway at all. I think it was during the first call when Vince got rick rolled, according to everyone. But in the arena, no one heard anything. It was loud, and no one heard the ringback tone. All we heard was the guy saying "Hello?" and Vince hung up on him. Pretty funny at the time, but we didn't know what happened and though Vince hung up on the guy on purpose.
Next, Cena vs JBL. Cena got a massive pop. There were hundreds of signs for Cena...
