I finished 300 today. Damn good, imo. I'll be reading Batman: The Dark Knight Returns now. So far, so good.

I finally got to read The Killing Joke and Secret Identity.
One of Moore's best, one of Busiek's best. Since I consider them two of the greatest of all time, that's pretty high praise. I actually felt sorry for the Joker by the end, especially during the "No, it's far too late for that" line. Even after all the horrible things he did. I'm convinced that only Moore will ever be able to truly make the Joker a sympathetic character while still being at his most evil.
"Secret Identity" was another one of those character-defining moments. It really nailed Superman's character, and was a joy to read. Busiek really shines when it comes to character development.

Finished Chapter 5 of The Walking Dead, the story is getting much better as it is going on and I started Chapter 6 and got to one of the grossest parts I've seen in a comic so far which is when *spoiler* Michonne is slowly killing the Governor when she is pulling out his fingernails and then takes his eye out.

I just ordered Y: The Last Man from my local library. The story sounds very interesting. You're in for a ride.

Might be the absolute worst thing ever, especially considering the guilty parties. Why, Salvador . . . WHY?

Dark Reign Hawkeye 2. I enjoyed it as much as I did the first. Very much looking forward to 3. Next up is Wolverine 73.

wolverine 73 was fairly good. i like how they showed the weekly doings of wolverine - it really is true that he is possibly the busiest superhero on a weekly basis.
i think i am going to start summative reviews on different comic series, beginning with transmetropolitan. if anyone thinks this wouldn't be a bad idea, lemme know. i don't just wanna type to a blank audience but i wanna start giving more to this board.

I really enjoyed the opening of Wolverine 73, showing what he does day by day. But after that, meh. I hated the art once that ended, and don't really care about what's going on in the issue or how it will conclude.

yea, it's one of those stupid 'wolverine tales' where he goes off and meets a whole bunch of stereotypes. it's been done, a few 100 times, specifically with wolverine.
i hope the son turns out to be some kind of opiate-poisoned crazy ass mutant. that's the only possible revival i could see happening.

Not too sure if your comic store will have them, mine didn't. I had to order them from a website. I just searched the comic and found the place to order it.

Skipped over Wolverine because I want to read both parts of both stories at once. Punisher: Good wrap-up to the arc. Intense as hell, and I'll sing Swierczinski's praises til the cows come home. G.I. Joe: Cobra is easily the best Joe series, and might be one of the best on the racks. GL Corps: Sinestro part was boring, but the end was cool. I just don't hope it ends up with . . . well, spoiler. Booster Gold: great. Another good one. Secret Warriors: If the next issue goes as slow as this one, I'm cutting it loose. Sgt. Fury one-shot: Meh, not as impressive as the other recent flashback stuff like Theater of War.
Really light week for me, so next on the reading list is LOEG. Volumes 1 &2 and Century: 1910. I know I should probably have Black Dossier too but I don't really care.
Next week: Herogasm!
