Just read X-Men Alpha, god I loved rereading it and it reminded me why I love the X-Men. Claremont's writing is perfect and Lee's art is, to me, the definitive X-Men look.
But then I get to the preview for X-Men Forever #1, continuing Claremont's story 7 years later, and it just does not have any of the magic that made Claremont and Lee's work so great. The art is terrible, it just doesn't feel the same without Lee, and even without comparing it to Jim, it is still weak. I will purchase X-Men Forever #1, and probably the whole series, but I can already tell it won't match up to the first three issues.

Finished up Preacher Vol. 1 and it was pretty good, I really want to pick up another book soon becuase I really want to see where the story is going to go. Next I am going to start Batman: Dark Victory, I hope it is as good as The Long Halloween was.

Amazing Spider-Man #595 Gotham Gazette: Batman Alive? Batman in Barcelona: Dragon's Knight
Amazing Spider-Man: The Logan/Peter Knuckle Bump made my day. Gotham Gazette: Lots of emphasis on Vale's ass in this issue. Batman in Barcelona: Boring.

I picked up Y: The Last Man - Cycles earlier today and I'm already around page eighty or so. This series is quickly turning out to be one of the best comics I've ever read.

just read herogasm #1
ennis portrays the stereotypical comic universe in such a great context. the boys and now this mini series are undoubtedly some of the most entertaining graphic literature made...and it definetly redefines 'graphic'.

Just read Batman and Robin #1, and it was outstanding. The Circus of Strange is gonna be an incredibley interesting group, and Pyg is pretty creepy. Excellent dialogue, and I actually find Frank's art to be great, even though I've never been a big fan of the guy.
And the preview page at the end. Oh man. Hurt with the keys to Wayne Manor? I love it.

read wolverine: revolver...what is with all these too short one shots? punisher: naked kill had a lot of promise but it was way too short, and this wolverine one is near pointless. it basically has three scenes.

i read top cow's impaler after seeing top cow's up and coming comics in june's wizard. very fresh dynamic of vampire use, a change from the overrused images in a comic genre that is as stale as the corpses of the vampires within for the most part. it's not an amazing book, it still has that 'horror movie' feel of a lack of complexity and depth about an issue that would in reality rattle all those involved to their core, but it's damn good and it gave me some interest in top cow's product.

I just got the civil war TPB. I've never read it before so I'm pretty excited. I'll post my thoughts on it when done.
EDIT---
I just finished this last night. I thought it was ok. I didn't like the ending at all. It felt like all of that fighting for nothing. I thought everything was good minus the last issue. I loved when spiderman and Ironman were talking and Spiderman was trying to escape. A very well writen scene. I loved the art also. I liked how everything came about also because it made sense why all the people wanted the regristration act. I just think for all that fighting for what they "believe in the secret avnegers just gave up in the end. And that just doesn't sit well with me. I think at least they should of come to an agreement of some sort. Not just Cap. giving up.
Overall it was good but not really that great.

finished up dark reign: sinister spider-man 01. it's damn good, but the marvel universe is starting to go haywire. i mean, just a few months ago they had spider-man out for a murder conspiracy scandal, and now he just switches suits and no one cares and still loves him? it just pisses me off.

Finished both volumes of Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War and they were pretty great. Now I'm starting on Ex Machina Vol. 1, and I have to say I'm not a big fan of the art at all, but I will keep reading it just becuase I love Vaughan so much.

I've been reading recently a bunch of Invincible comics that I borrowed from a friend. It is a pretty great series, I'm up to issue 20 so far and I can't wait to see what else can happen.

I just read Watchmen for the first time. I thought it was great. Although I didn't read the book chapters/articles between each chapter. I need to go back to read those. I wanted to wait to read the book before I saw the movie, so I'm going to try to watch it sometime this weekend.

I wouldn't say that it is kiddish, I mean it is done by Robert Kirkman who does the Walking Dead, there isn't really any nudity but the fighting scenes don't skip on the detail and blood. I haven't read too much Spider-man but I would say the humor is like that I mean they do an issue crossover with Spider-man and they seem to be alike in ways. To me it kinda started out slow but to me it picked up by issue 7 or 8 just becuase a kinda big surprise happens which was totally awesome.

I just finished We3, loved it. Came off like Homeward Bound mixed with the Hulk and Robocop. Frank Quitely and Grant Morrison managed to put so much emotion into such a small amount that its hard not to feel for the animals.
Right after finishing this I see that the guy who helmed Kung Fu Panda is trying to adapt it. I really don't know how to feel on this.
