The Haert Break Kid, Shawn W. Michaels.
He's definitely in the upper echelon of performers in WWE History. He is definitely not one of the top workers or Draws, but he's still legit in his own rite. However, over the past few years he's really lost a few steps.
Things he's lacking considerably amounts of:
Motivation-As he constantly refuses Main Event pushes and will not be caught dead wearing the strap. You just cant get this guy to want to help the business out.
Work Rate- Incredibly low, he works a very limited schedule. By his own request. When he does work, it's always incredibly slow and always the same old, same old. Never anything new or innovative.
Versatility- The guy is just not able to garner heel heat for the life of him. Which is very ugh/tragic and adds to a lot of staleness with his character.
Desire- He has no passion for the business anymore, it seems like he's just going through the motions, but not really present in mind when in the ring.
Physical Limitations:
Balding- He has to wear hair extensions now and is has one of the largest receding hair lines in the business
Physique- He doesnt even resemble a wrestler anymore, he looks like just another regular joe
Gas Tank- He cant really go like he used to. He drags in moments and has to work slow matches as opposed to the high flying spectacular matches HBK fans grew accustom to early on in his career.
&
probably the most crucial of all of his downfalls
Vision- He's most likely partially blind in his left eye. Much like Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira-The Cage Fighter. And the subject is a hot matter in the MMA community as to whether or not he should be allowed to participate in Mixed Martial Arts combat because of his blindness.
Shawn Michaels, in my opinion definitely needs to either get with the pg(that's program) and start working like a wrestler or he needs to take a walk and give the spotlight to the deserving up and comers that could use the exposure. As they could actually help grow the brand and sport. He's done all he can do in the sport. He's never going to be on the level of guys like; The Rock, Austin, or Hogan. He's always going to be a midcard legend, with other guys like; Angle, Eddie, and Undertaker.
agree/disagree, let me know what you think about his current situation within the WWE

well I stopped reading once you started speaking for him, how can you say he has no passion? Do you know him? Do you hang out with him on the road and before events. I think coming back and still wrestling at the highest level possible shows he has more passion for this business than most of the roster. The man cannot wrestle on a daily basis, his body can't handle it and he has a family to raise. But he does still entertain the fans and he still puts on some of the greatest matches EVER. That's enough passion for me, most guys wouldn't do the same, they would be at home or wrestling half assed matches just to collect a paycheck.
BTW I never knew hair had anything to do with being a great wrestler, or having anything to do with whether or not someone should retire.
Fact is he can still go, and he's one of best in the biz RIGHT NOW

In my view, HBK can still go in the ring. It's just he seems so... fragile so to say when he's in the ring. Like he's always "hurting" somewhere.

Actually a lot of that is true, but i really don't think it matters that he's balding really and if that's true about his vision he should really consider retiring.

Exactly, like he should take an extended leave of absence from the business and try to heal up his wounds. However, he's done that already and he stills seem fragile. It seems like you have to be extra careful with him and carry him in matches. Then he hits his few spots to try to make the match seem redeemable. It's pretty sad from a fans point of view In my view, HBK can still go in the ring. It's just he seems so... fragile so to say when he's in the ring. Like he's always "hurting" somewhere.

I fully disagree with you.
I, myself do wish he wrestled more, but just because I love his matches so much that i wish he'd wrestle every week on RAW.
As far as his look, he looks fine. He's balding a lil, who cares? His attire rules, he may be slim, but he's still in good shape and to be honest he can still put on a hell of a match.
The match with Flair, the ONS bout with Batista, his RAW bout with Jeff earlier this year ... the guy is still the best worker and still can put on good matches.
The only reason I, personally may think he should hang it up soon is for his own well-being. I know he's not in the best shape anymore and I don't want to see one of my idols crippled or severely hurt ... that's why I'm not complaining TOO much about his recently light schedule because I want him to be okay. I say he's still got at least another year in him, he should get the strap maybe once more and then that's it. I wish he could just wrestle forever, but I don't want him to end up in a wheelchair. As far as passion goes, he's still got it and I don't think you can speak for him.

LOL seriously I'm waiting for this next

Ric flair had no right getting in the ring for the past 8-10 years. He should've hung it up a longggggg time ago before the fall of WCW. It's like if Hogan started wrestling fulltime again right now. He's not actually wrestling, both men are nothing more than a nostalgia act, not wrestlers. What 30 others guys dont look like wrestlers? Jericho was forced to put on weight and muscle enhance before redebuting in the E, so im very curious as to who else doesnt look like a wrestler? You make the worst threads ever. thank you. hbk doesn't resemble a wrestler!! neither does like 30 of the oher guys and ric flair looked old...old old and he reitred liek what 2 motnths ago.

"He's definitely in the upper echelon of performers in WWE History. He is definitely not one of the top workers or Draws, but he's still legit in his own rite. However, over the past few years he's really lost a few steps."
1. That's a slap in the face to Michaels to disregard him as one of the top workers in this industry. That's just ignorance.
Motivation-As he constantly refuses Main Event pushes and will not be caught dead wearing the strap. You just cant get this guy to want to help the business out.
2. Or maybe he realizes that he has nothing to gain by wearing the Championship and would rather have other wrestlers with longer-term futures to carry the belt. It's completely selfless and he still manages to be a huge attraction.
Work Rate- Incredibly low, he works a very limited schedule. By his own request. When he does work, it's always incredibly slow and always the same old, same old. Never anything new or innovative.
3. Not the same old, same old at all. Whatsoever. He consistently puts on fantastic matches with different twists on them. Watch his recent matches with Jericho and try to tell me they're not trying new innovations of their work.
Versatility- The guy is just not able to garner heel heat for the life of him. Which is very ugh/tragic and adds to a lot of staleness with his character.
4. And that's a bad thing how? I'm sure if they wanted to, they could turn Michaels heel but everything he's done recently has been with shades of gray rather than a full fledged heel turn. Everyone loves Michaels, I missed the bas part.
Desire- He has no passion for the business anymore, it seems like he's just going through the motions, but not really present in mind when in the ring.
5. Again, ridiculous. He's been one of the few workers to put on consistently good matches this year with just about everyone from Batista to Flair to Jericho.
Balding- He has to wear hair extensions now and is has one of the largest receding hair lines in the business
6. And this matters how?
Physique- He doesnt even resemble a wrestler anymore, he looks like just another regular joe
7. Are you actually watching the same Michaels as everyone else?
Gas Tank- He cant really go like he used to. He drags in moments and has to work slow matches as opposed to the high flying spectacular matches HBK fans grew accustom to early on in his career.
8. Again, ridiculous. His matches with Jericho have been nothing short of exciting and he's been able to keep up with Jericho. And these high flying matches, you mean, as in the Rockers, 20 years ago? He still busts out moonsaults and planchas, I'm not sure what you're looking for.
Vision- He's most likely partially blind in his left eye. Much like Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira-The Cage Fighter. And the subject is a hot matter in the MMA community as to whether or not he should be allowed to participate in Mixed Martial Arts combat because of his blindness.
I completely missed this one of him being blind in his left eye and it seems like you pulled this one out of your ass.
I know you love to stir up controversy and "discussion" on these topics, but if you really can't enjoy the in ring work of Shawn Michaels, then I can't even imagine how high your standards must be and I feel sorry for you.

Yet, a storyline with Edge changing his name to Edgie Guerrero would work.
Really, your opinions are kind of weird.
